I didnt know who he was either, but there's quite a few teams listed on kffl interested in him, all for the same reason. Says he is a really good blocking TE. I think I found 5 or 6 teams interested in him there.

He's listed at 6'6, 280lbs from Iowa, only 24 yrs old.

The Houston Texans and Chicago Bears are considered frontrunners to land free-agent TE Steve Maneri (Chiefs), a league source said Monday, March 18.

FANTASY TIP: Maneri is mostly known for his ability to run-block, and he isn't much of a passer catcher. While he wouldn't be a good fantasy option, his addition would be good news to help QB Matt Schaub stay off his back, and Maneri could also help free up more running room for RB Arian Foster. Stay tuned.
