No. And you know we won't.

Jerry needs to take the fall for this.

I think alot of people need to take the fall for this.

first group is the players, then the front office and then a handful of coaches.

my opinion of jerry is that he is just regurgitating what he is told by the guys he hired to make decisions and he generally jumps in on the big flashy decisions like moving up for dez or signing pacman....

but I dont think he is responsible for drafting aoa, stanback, courtny brown and the countless other misses in the secondary.

thats on ciskowski and the scouts.

Right, but it starts with Jerry. We need a legit GM. Then let him make the decisions from there.

Jerry the owner doesn't bother me it's him being GM.

My guess would be he tells them he has failed as a GM. I'm going to hire a GM, but it won't happen, I know.

I just believe changing head coaches all the time won't change anything.

the gm duties to me are split up amongst a number of people here. Jerry.stephen.tom ciskowski and the marketing to jerry jr and his daughter.

its not just one person like in kc with final say on anything. this organization is like a family owned grocery store at this point. I think new england is very similar just that currently they have belichick and brady and that is alot.

we need help I think on all levels. Front office, scouting, coaching and talent. Some go hand in hand obviously.

I hope they figure it out. The next 90 days are huge. It will either be more of the same or maybe a chance at being respectable again.

I don't think marketing duties should be considered GM duties nor do I think any other GM in the NFL is tasked with marketing.

no they are not, just pointing out that the GM term in this city is kind of a weird one where there are a handful of people doing the jobs most gms are doing in other markets. Mostly that the family is driving that bus.

hence the notion a gm would ever be brought in.

if he was he would still need jerry's approval to spend money like all gms do, he would most likely still have to have stephen handling the cap, so I guess the only role he would have is to run the scouting department.

so that is why I think tom ciskowski should be brought forward as much as jerry. Because no matter what even if scott pioli were brought in tomorrow the only real change would be who has control over that decision of who is in charge of personnel. Currently it is stephen and tom Ciskowski officially. Stephen isnt going anywhere and he is not going to become just a part owner.....

so its a waste of everyones time.

now the coaching staff could be hired by the gm, but generally the gm hires the head coach and then the head coach hires the staff....So in that regard parcells did that and I think garrett is doing that. so that leads me back to the personnel or scouting department and tom ciskowski.

We also need Garrett to just concentrate on being the head coach. Jerry says he's fine with Jason making the calls.

That's one big problem among the several we have. Hire Norv back to run the offense. Houck needs to retire. Get Tony back here. The more experienced assistants the better.

Jeff Fisher interviewing with the Dolphins today. Arrived in a helicopter with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross.

---------

If I'm Jeff Fisher, and I have my pick of the litter, which he appearantly does, there's no way I'm NOT taking the San Diego job.

Established QB, check.
Weak division, check.
Talented roster, check.
Get to live in San Diego, check.

Yes, but there is a draw to coaching in Miami. They have a history and have always been a marquee franchise to the NFL in my eyes. If he could go in there and bring them back he'd be a legend.

Well San Diego is out now that they're keeping those bums.

If I'm Fisher I'm taking either Indy or Miami.

With Indy you're guaranteed a franchise QB no matter what direction they take.

With Miami you have a pretty good defense and an offense that may be a QB away from pretty good as well. I'd be trading for Matt Flynn of the Packers, add another pass rusher, and you're good to go.

I think that's why he didn't take the Miami job yet. The Colts job may be his best bet.

Andrew Luck and or Peyton Manning? You can't go wrong. The Colts still have a lot of good pieces there.

Matt Flynn is a free agent isn't he?

SD decided to keep AJ Smith and Norv.

I watched a few mins of the Rams/Niners game Sunday and they said there were strong rumors Fisher would end up there in St Louis.
