sure, but we have been saying that for 4 years. These are the exact positions we can never draft.

and the giants and eagles kicked our ass 3 times this year.

so they are better talent wise, have better coaches and already beat us.

clearly we are behind where they are at this moment. I dont think there is anymore to it than that.

The Giants didnt kick our ass twice. We had them beat the first time and nearly came back from 3 tds down in the other. Philly we played absolutely horrible again though. I also dont agree they have better coaches just because they won those games.

different team. that 09 team was still very good.

its 3 years later.

the giants swept us in 09 and again in 2011. We have not beat the eagles starters since the playoff game in 09.

there rosters have improved and we have not.

I really dont see what the argument is.

lol

ok

they kicked our ass. Those last 5 minutes of the first game were painful and the first half of the final game was just an indictment on our franchise.

the 09 team was good. that was still a team that could do something and they almost did. But even then we got swept by the giants.

We're a third place team again next year unless the Redskins slip past us.

The Giants and Eagles are clearly better than us. Lets just hope Washington doesn't improve much.

The Eagles kicked our ass, twice, we stuck with the Giants but the lack of talent showed in the end, and Washington stuck with us.

If we aren't careful and don't have a good off season we could find ourselves in last place.

I don't see us any better than 9-7 next year. The truth hurts.

Yep. Just like the Eagles would be the division winners for this year and eventual Super Bowl champs. But they failed to make the playoffs.

We haven't even had free agency yet or the draft, and you're whining like a bitch.

A different team? Many of the players we had this year were on that "different team". And you don't think we'll be a different team next year?

Then by your simplistic logic, the Redskins are CLEARLY better than the Giants, since they swept the Giants, right? The Eagles were divisional winners last year, then they loaded up in the offseason, and finished 8-8. The Cowboys went 6-10 last year, and had minimal movement in free agency, and went 8-8.

Yeah. They're clearly better than us.

Of course we will be a different team.

The 09 group was a good group. But we are not as good right now as that team was.

If we pull five players from the draft and maybe three mid level contributors from free agency we have a chance to get back into the mix.

Personally I don't have th faith that this front office is good enough to do that and I am skeptical on the coaching staff.

It seems to me like it will be pretty difficult to fix this secondary this offseason. And if we are terrible back there again I don't think we have a legit chance to beat good teams.

There is so much to fix here. So the question becomes do you think the current front office can handle it or not? Right now I do not believe they can, but I am hoping they will.

This isnt some talent devoid 1-15 type team Theebs, as you keep insinuating.

They need another pass rusher, badly. They need a couple of new DB's. They need to upgrade 1 or 2 spots of the interior OL and hope one of the young guys can play. They need to keep Laurent Robinson.

That isnt a list so extensive that it cant be done. Despite how awful you seem to think the team is, we did almost win the division. And we had a ton of injuries this year.

I say that because I don't expect us to improve a lot next year. I try to keep a positive outlook but Jerry seems to find a way to ruin it for me.

I hope what he says is true and he gets the right personel here, but he seems to think it's already in place. Comments about the front seven being a strength worries me. Didn't he make the same remark about the OL last year?

The guy is a dumbass when it comes to being an GM. Now a salesman? He's the best around.

I know why you said it. But it still stands that based on your logic the Redskins are clearly better than the Giants. And that's flawed logic period. Any given Sunday, and any given year.

Tell me that you saw that the Eagles would finish 8-8 after winning the division last year, and all the offseason upgrades they made

Tell me after the Cowboys missed the playoffs in 2008 by going 9-7, and in the following offseason, they let go 6 STARTERS: Roy Williams (Safety), Anthony Henry, Greg Ellis, Terrell Owens, Chris Canty, and Zach Thomas and then "upgrading" them with Sensabaugh, Brookins, and Olshansky... did you see them sweeping the Eagles and winning the division AND a playoff game? I bet you were whining then like you are now.

Like I said, if Romo doesn't have that meltdown against the Lions, and Newman pussies out agaisnt the first Giants game. None of this is even discussed right now.

Yeah, I think the Redskins are better than the Giants. Spin it.

I said we would be third in the division again, maybe even last if the Redskins have a better off season.

I still think we'll compete next year, but I don't see us winning the division. Yeah the Redskins swept the Giants last year. I didn't say the Redskins were better, you said I did. I meant talent wise when I was referring to all the teams in our division.

Giants, Eagles, Cowboys then Redskins. That's how I think it'll turn out next year. We will probably win 9 games. The only other way I see different is if one of those teams has a lot of injuries and lose a lot of games because of it.

That could happen to us too.

we need more than that.

and the key spots we need are the same spots we can not figure out year after year. Safety, corner, interior line.

We also have an issue at punter now, backup quarterback and inside linebacker.

1-15 no, but enough issues that if they say we are only a few players away from a superbowl again we are going to be stuck at 8-8 for who knows how long.

I dont believe this team is a superbowl contender next year in any way and I hope inside the building they view it that way also and just go get as many good players as they can.

Brian gaine interviewed for the rams gm position today. I am really interested if he gets hired. He was a parcells guy, bill fired broaddus to hire Brian. Jerry hated him and couldn't have been happier to see him go to miami, because he blamed him for that poor free agent class of 06 here.

If he gets a gm job. Wow.

The Indianapolis Colts have hired Greg Manusky as defensive coordinator.

New general manager Ryan Grigson made the announcement Thursday. He says Indy also has brought in Roy Anderson as the secondary coach. He’ll be in charge of safeties. Marwan Maalouf will coach special teams.

First-time head coach Chuck Pagano hired Bruce Arians as offensive coordinator this week and is still trying to fill jobs on his assistant coaching staff. Grigson also confirmed that former offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen would remain on staff. It has not been determined whether he will coach quarterbacks or receivers.

Grigson acknowledged that the Colts would like to re-sign three key veterans — receivers Pierre Garcon and Reggie Wayne and defensive end Robert Mathis.
