Gruden would be my pick, but unless JJ finally grows up and realizes he does not need to be the center of attention nothing will change

Gruden isn't coming here without a Bill Parcells or Pete Carroll-like clause in his contract guaranteeing control over the roster. He probably isn't going to any team without that but for damn sure he'd insist on it here.

Why would anyone give him that clause? Did anyone see his QB search in Tampa Bay?

He made Jerry's attempts at it seem credible.

Gruden will get it wherever he goes. If Carroll can get the clause after his time in NE and with the Jets, Gruden and his Super Bowl ring will definietly get it.

No. Nothing does. Romo was an accident. If not, we'd still be trotting out baseball players and proven busts like Ryan Leaf. Joey Harrington or Vince Young would be our starting QB right now.

Did you see the vid of him on the team website... He mentioned Andy Reid getting the most out of his team about 10 times. Meanwhile zero praise for his own coach except for a brief mention that the defense was pretty decent. Interesting.

Not sure what praise he could have for any of the offensive coaches )or HC) after what we've seen so far this year.

Kiffin and Marinelli were good adds.

I like Nick Saban. He's a super A Personality Type amongst A type personalities. The ultimate control freak. He is sitting on top of the world at Alabama with no end in sight so unless he gets bored, I don't see him leaving.

Like Gruden, he will insist on total control when/if he takes an NFL job.

If Jerry drove his players as hard as he drives his negotiations he might be able to finally find some success. It amazes me how He & Stephen dole out the huge contracts without batting an eye and seem so reticent to say anything that could be perceived as negative about the team or any of the players, everything is an attempt to be politically correct or meaningless mumbling. Its ok to demand excellence from your players and call things like they are, but obviously they don't agree

After hearing Stephen praise the KC Chiefs and tell me how great everyone on the Cowboys played, I'm doubting anything improves whenever he takes over.

Here's an example of how Jerry negotiates everything down to the last penny: I have a buddy who has moving billboards where companies can advertise on a big cube that travels around the city or can be parked at a location. He had an opportunity to do a job for the Cowboys but only if he would accept payment in the form of pre season tickets and a limited selection of Cowboys merchandise. I'm sure some idiot took him up on that offer but my buddy refused.

I'd love to see them apply that kind of pressure to his players but of course that's futile thinking

It's a big coutry club like Jimmy said.

We only went our last Superbowl because San Francisco lost to Green Bay. We only won it because Neil O'Donell threw those two interceptions.

It's one big joke.

Stephen already talks more than any other comparable front office person in the league. And he talks almost as much as his dad. Yeah, nothing's changing when he takes over. We need a forced takeover.

At least they have like a 3% chance of winning the Super Bowl.

We a 0% chance.

Not true. Jerry is on the Competition Committee. Once he passes his new rule that one Super Bowl spot goes to the best team and the other goes to the most valuable franchise we will have at least a 5% chance of winning.
