We still nearly won the game. Despite the cap b/s. All the injuries we had. A really retarded HC. 5 turnovers and absolutely putrid officiating. Still almost made the miracle comeback.

Not sure who replacement might be. Who knows, maybe they coax Hudson Houck out of retirement if its Norv coming as OC. I suspect whoever they hire as assistants would be signed off on by Norv if he is coming.

Another OL coach candidate if Norv is coming as OC is Russ Grimm, pretty sure the Cards let him walk when they axed Whisenhunt. Grimm was on Norv's staff in Washington and is a pretty highly regarded OL coach as well.

Mosely is saying that the name should come out by the evening but the coach is so pissed off they sat him down and are trying to calm him down.

Also Matt is saying merry learned this from al Davis.

Leaving for a week and making the assistants sweat it out for a week or more.

Sounds like a guy I want to work for.

IMO, norv would create a huge circus.

He is tight with guys like Galloway and will leak info a lot. Coming here he is setting himself up as the fall guy.

I like Norv. There's not many better play callers/game planners than him. He's also an exceptional QB coach. I have little doubt that even if we didnt make a single personnel change on offense, we'd be better on that side of the ball with him. Obviously if they make a couple upgrades on the OL, they could be really good.

It just isnt going to fix everything else thats wrong here. The defense will still be a joke. The team will probably still look generally unprepared and undisciplined. The ST probably wont be any different.

It just isnt enough. They needed to clean house.
