Not really...they gave up three #1's and a 2 to move up 4 spots. Unless he's a hall of famer, its a painfully stupid deal by the Redskins

You are exactly right. They need to right about rg3 of they just set there franchise back another 10 years if you can believe that,

Man I hope he turns into akili smith.....

That would be awesome.

I fully expect them with less picks, alot of holes and a ton of space to go crazy Tuesday.

We had better be active, cause if rg3 turns out to be a stud we may never get out of the basement

He won't....Too much going for him.

We can only hope we can neutralize him with a sick pass rush for now but give him 2 or 3 years then we are in for a world of hurt...

This is an epicly bad move. I don't expect Griffin to bust but he is clearly not worth three consecutive first round draft picks. Quarterback is obviously their biggest need, but San Francisco showed what you can do with an average QB when the rest of your team is solid. With no running game and an offensive line that just isn't very good Griffin will be struggling against the NFC East opponents. If this league wasn't a win now league waiting for next year makes the most sense. I would be talking to Houston right now to find out which QB they want to get rid of instead of trading away the world for one guy.

If this kid is the real deal than it’s worth it. Franchise QBs are hard to come by. Ballsy move by the Skins.

He's gotta be alot more than just "the real deal" to justify the kind of stupid trade they just did.

For the price they paid, he almost has to be a perennial probowler and multiple super bowl winner, otherwise this gets the Skins thrown into Mike Lynn territory.

They just mortgaged the future with that trade. They gave up too many picks.

As far as RG3 though I think he has a stellar career in Washington. He'll do better than Luck will the roster the Colts will have now.

He's a perfect fit for Washington because he's a mobile QB. Peyton wouldn't of fit as good because of his mobility.

Did they buy us dinner first? On the bright side they can't really punish us for bountygate now.

Good point. At least they can't touch your first round picks the next few years. You got admit though this trade was bad.

RGIII = Vince young.

I have to admit I havent seen him play enough to really make an educated opinion, but from everything thats written about him I'd say he is nothing like Vince Young. Griffin is very very bright and doesnt have an ego problem. He's regarded as a very hard worker and a leader on their football team. he also has more advanced throwing skills than Young had.

Still, the Redskin paid a mammoth price tag for him. He's gotta be one of the all timers for them to ultimately say the deal was worth it.

Well the way the media here in Dallas is reacting griffin is already a probowler.

I have seen 4 local media members comment that romo is the 4th best qb in the division now. These morons just assume rg3 is better than romo in the NFL already and ummmm they think Vick is better which is nuts.

This is one of the reasons why romo gets crapped on nationally, because locally they crap on him all the time.

I disagree with that, based simply on RGIII being too smart of an individual.

Vince is borderline retarded.

Had the skill set, but was a mental midget.

Well, let's just see how effective he is in the nfl. Also, when's the last time a mobile qb has won the Super Bowl? He might be flashy, but he can't fix everything the redskins lack. I saw him play and yes he is good and fast but he was only effective on the qb/dive/read option plays. Charlie ward comes to mind when I think of rgIII.

This is a horrible trade, IMO.

Because the Redskins are not a QB away.

They have holes on the Oline, receiver, LB, and secondary.

How do they address all of that without draft picks?

I know this is "sexy", but if I were a Skins fan, I'd be aggravated.

I hear ya, he looks like a very good player from the little I watched.

If I were a redskins fan I would be very very happy today. They screw the draft up almost every year anyway, might as well go get a top flight qb and person if you can.

and one more thing....how good is not only the nfc east going to be, but the nfc....If manning signs in arizona.....the nfc will be so loaded at qb and the afc will have brady, rivers, ben....

yeah but the reality is you are always a qb away until you have one, and they have had two good ones in my lifetime in theisman and rypien and rypien was really just an average player besides the 91 season.

They are going to plug holes in free agency.

this division is going to be crazy next year. I wonder if we open up again against these assholes on sunday night or monday night now in washington...

you know they will give the skins a home opener.....We never open at home.

I hate the Skins as much as the next Cowboy fan, but if they do well in free agency, and draft RG3 like we all think they will this team will win 9-10 games this year.

Expect a crazy NFC East race and a lot of stress again this fall.

I'd have to see it to believe it. Personally I dont think its happening. They dont have a very good secondary, their OL is medicore at best and they really dont have any offensive players of concern other than maybe Fred Davis. They'd have to sign a ton of new guys to make up for all that.

They are the least talented team in teh division by a considerable margin. Highly unlikely a rookie QB from a college spread offense comes in and is good enough to win 9-10 games

they'll be alot like the Broncos. Great running team that can shorten games and maybe luck some out.

I don't see the Redskins winning 9 or 10 games.

RGIII might be a stud, but he's not a 10 game winner year one.

Big difference between Big 12 defenses and NFL defenses.

It's only 3 more wins than they had last year. It's very possible.

I'll leave it at that.
