Actually you need to STFU.

Trading 3 firsts and a 2nd for an unproven player is pretty stupid. At least with players like Joey Galloway (who other than Moss at the time of the trade, was the leagues most explosive player at a position we desperately needed help at) and Roy Williams they were proven commodities.
Griffin might be a very good player, however simply being a "very good player" would never make what they gave up to get him worth it. He HAS to be great, and the Redskins have to win big. Otherwise the trade was a flop.

lol, they weren't great players by any stretch of the imagination. And certainly not worth what we gave up for them. In fact, the position that they play, only all-decade team type WRs are worth that.

What I don't get is why the Rams decided to make the deal now. Reportedly the Browns came back and were willing to offer three #1's also, but were told it was too late.
There's six more weeks til the draft and the bidding was still going on, so why were the Rams so quick to strike the deal with Washington and stop the process?

Both teams wanted to know before free agency begins in a couple days so that they can pursue a plan B (Orton, Flynn, etc.).

Statements like this prove just how delusional you are. Roy Williams was highly overrated and Dallas was a fucking laughingstock at the time of that deal. The only people who liked and wanted that trade were Hos (probably the biggest idiot ever), and a bunch of other homers who think a good fantasy football roster is what it takes to win the Super Bowl.

And I love how you bring up Randy Moss. He went to New England from Oakland for a 4th. Not two 1sts. Only guys like you and Hos think it's cool to give up those kind of picks on a WR.

The Eagles and Giants continue to improve in this division. The Skins could retool and be stuck around 9-7 with middle draft picks for a few years that may or may not even make it past their rookie contract, or go big on a guy who's more highly touted than Cam Newton. That's a no brainer.

Would I be willing to trade some douches like Shante Carver, David LaFleur, and Bobby Carpenter to get out of the Chad Hutchinson/Drew Henson/Quincy Carter cellar that the Skins are currently in? Fuck yeah I would.

The Dallas homers are scared as shit that this guy will pan out and actually make us the bottom dwellers in the division. Your Lord Jerry is losing his luster. Sorry, hun.

What have the Eagles done to improve as of now?

*yaaaaawn* Hardly. Let's see if he wins rookie of the year first, but you can go ahead and fall to your knees and usher forth some annoiting oil from your mouth.

Joey Galloway was definitely a great player when we traded for him. Roy Williams was a probowl calibar WR, and we needed another legit threat for the offense.

No Joey Galloway wasn't. He barely climbed the 1,000 yard ladder in a season, 3 times before we trade for him.

You trade a lot for QBs, not WRs.

I never said he's automatically the next Tom Brady. Learn some reading comprehension.

The term "franchise QB" is a media term and means dick.

You want a QB that performs at a consistantly high level and with sufficient talent around him takes the team to the playoffs more often than not, which in turn gives the team a chance at a title during his career. If Griffin is that guy, the trade was worth it. If he isn't bad trade. They made the trade because they thought he is.

They went overboard with what they gave up, there will be a tremendous amount of pressure on him and if he isn't a "franchise QB" they will sorely miss the talent they could have got with the picks they gave up. On the other hand, if you could only get probowlers in the first round 3/4 of the mouth breathers running around on the ESPN message boards could run a draft and they believe (whether they're right or wrong remains to be seen) they have four starters from last year's class. In addition say what you want about Shannahan but he has a knack for finding good offensive players late in the draft.

There are some pros and some cons but the jury is still out on this trade, and there are 4 words that are pretty much the bottom line here. He better be good.

Any of you that are saying that you knew Roy Williams 11 wouldn't work out here are lying to yourself and the rest of us. Rewriting history to support your argument today.
