Jerry, nor any other owner would have the balls to make the move, but I'd let Garrett walk before I'd let Rob Ryan go coach another team.

Garrett has proven time and time again that you can't trust him with play calling.

On the road vs. Tom Brady and the Pats, 3 point lead. You're going to go out there and sit on the ball with roughly 3 minutes left? They have all their timeouts. You think that sounds like a guy with a clue?

Stupid. Play calls around the goal line still leave much to be desired. A shovel pass with Dez singled on the outside?

What. The. Fuck?

You can't blame Garrett for Romo not seeing Dez in that situation. No coach calls the shovel pass as the 1st read. That's all on the QB.

And why he chose to sit on that 3 point lead goes right back to Romo. You just can't trust the guy in those situations.

He refuses to sit on a 24 or 17-point lead but HE DOES sit on a 3-point lead???? against Brady??... on the road?? Garrett is still struggling as a playcaller.

Just sucks because you know there are idiots that will put it on the defense for not making a stop there at the end, but hell i thought they gave everything they could. Held the #1 offense to 20 (3 points were spotted by Romo). 16 points (3 points spotted by the D) is not good enough. Garrett & Romo are not getting the job done, plain and simple. 16 points against the worst defense in the league? Red zone offense continues to be an issue. Has been for a number of seasons with Garrett as OC.

Jesus.

You can play offense and do it without taking chances, you can even throw the ball with Romo on that last drive. It's the type of throws. Call a screen pass. Call a swing pass to one of the backs. Pick up a 1st down, then you can think about sitting on the ball.

Garrett is shitting the bed, big time.

If Romo hasn't proven time and again to be a huge doofus, then you have a point.

lol

You still don't get it. You can play close to the vest with Romo late and still give your team a chance. It's highly unlikely that Romo is going to be picked on a screen or swing pass.

But yeah, I guess if you want, you can put tihs game on Romo too.

He almost threw an INT today on a dumpoff to the RB!

Again, you simply can't trust Romo.

It's not like Garrett is limiting a QB who has been on fire lately.

It will be interesting down the road if rob has success somewhere and we are still celebrating first qtr sacks like we just beat the 85 bears.

You knew it would happen. Whenever he gets criticized the first chance he gets he goes 180 degrees opposite. It's almost to the point he's intentionally trying to prove that his reasons for passing in the first place was correct. Either that or he has zero feel for the game. Yes, you don't just throw it up for grabs while nursing a lead, but you don't have to just run it up the gut when they've loaded the box either.

What the fuck is right.

The defense gave up tds two games in a row to lose with the game on the line. Right now they look just like some of Mike Zimmer's mediocre defenses. Play good for alot of the game, but when it matters most- melt.

Clearly this wasnt a very good game offensively, but we were WINNING the game again. All the defense has to do is hold the team to no more than a FG, and instead they let the other team drive down the field almost undetered for an easy game winning TD.

Basically Garrett is damned if he does and damned if he doesnt with you people. I would have thrown a couple passes on out next to last possession and done anything to geta first down, but when the QB has a tendency to throw awful picks at the worst times, and people are crying "run the ball more" no matter how stupid the argument is, you get what we got today.

Another team loss, about the only guy who shouldnt get any blame is Dan Bailey. Otherwise, all players AND coaches deserve blame, including Rob Ryan.

Pretty much been over this, and you guys were proven wrong on this. You didnt like the playcalls because Romo threw stupid picks. The picks werent the result of throwing too much, in the 2nd half of the Lions game it was almost a perfect 50/50 balance of runs and passes until the last drive of the game. Very few teams run and pass 50% of the time anymore.

They cant run well enough to have the ideal balance, and they cant trust the QB to throw the ball to the right players in key situations. Pretty tough to make chicken soup out of chicken shit.
