Keep dancing if it makes you feel better about having this killer on our team. RKG and all.

Goodrich probably couldn't have done anything to help his victims either. But you cited to that failure to render aid.

Brent drove drunk, drove recklessly, flipped his car, left his friend/teamate in the car, and failed to render aid. When the car caught fire, he still had to be prompted to pull Jerry out. After he pulled him out, he left him in the road and continued pacing the street.

The guy is a scumbag... but you're trying to justify the signing because he's a Cowboy!

Right kind of guy, my ass.

And all this the night before a road game, let's continue to remind.

“I jumped out and ran out toward the wreck,” she said. “I yelled to him, ‘Are you OK? Are you OK?’ And he told me he was fine. I was relieved because I thought it’s just a single car accident, nobody’s hurt. And then fire sparked up from the car and got bigger and I started to hear screams.”

As the fire grew, she says she begged Brent to help Brown, the car’s passenger, whom she also didn’t know.

Brent “looked at me and said, ‘He won’t get out of the car.’ And I said, ‘Get him out of the car. You have to save him.’.”

She said she continued to plead, but Brent repeated that his friend wouldn’t get out. She ran to her car to get her phone. When she returned, Brown was lying in the middle of the far right lane and Brent had walked away.

“He didn’t say come on, hang in there, hold his hand,” she said. “That’s what upsets me the most at this point. He abandoned him.”

How anyone could support this guy is beyond me.

But I bet they're the same ones ripping Ray Rice, Peterson, Michael Vick, and every other non-Cowboy who ends up on a police blotter.

If you roll up on someone that has a knife in them, never pull the knife out.

Such intellectual cowardice. You cannot refute what I actually argue so just make the RKG comment and repeat yourself.

The first responders stated they came up on the scene when Brent was pulling Brown out of the car and that he was unresponsive when they checked on him. If that is the case then Brown was dead and had died while being pulled out of the car assuming the woman's comments about Brown making noise are correct.

if that is the case then not all people's response to seeing dead loved ones is to cuddle. It also speaks to the wisdom in waiting to yank him out of the car.

What you've argued has been refuted. You being intentionally obtuse does not change that fact.

So being unresponsive = dead?

Because he wasn't pronounced dead at the scene. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

I'm sure the exposure to heat/smoke didn't aid in Jerry Brown sustaining life. Driving drunk and driving recklessly aside, if Josh Brent hadn't been such a shit bag, maybe he could've made more of an effort in calling 911 himself, and helping his friend out of the vehicle before it caught fire and Jerry was screaming to be saved. I know that would've gotten in the way of his sidewalk pacing, but you know...

Thanks, dbair. Last year was all a blur because I was spending so much time with your mom.

Thanks.
