On the otherhand Jerry owns the Team and has chosen to take Brent Back. Does not mean its the right decision or the wrong one. But it is the decision that we must learn to live with along with many other decisions over the years that Jerry has made.
Nobody's arguing that either.

They call it "intoxication manslaughter" but so what? He KILLED a guy.

Hell then. Burn him at the stake. Look I understand those not wanting him, but as long as he here we should hope he play well. Especially with the lack of pass rush our front 7 bring at the moment.

I never wanted TO on the team but as long as he was here I wanted him to be the best he could be. Was ecstatic the day he was released.

Now before everyone gets their panties in a wad I'm not saying disrespecting the Star is equal to causing the death of another person. Simply saying all your crying won't make Jerry cut Brent.

First off, nobody's crying.

Secondly, no one's calling for any punishment for Brent other than what's been legally handed out.

Can you not make a post at all without using straw arguments?

What I don't understand is, you and your ilk defending him beyond all rationality and reason. You have not one single solitary logical argument for keeping him on the team.

And in the face of VERY logical arguments for NOT having him in Dallas, you reply with stuff no one's even arguing.

Your main argument basically is "we need him we aren't getting any sacks, who cares if he killed a guy" and that's taking homerism and cheerleading a little too far really.

3 days after my return I learned something new. Never heard of WGAS until today. Need to remember that because I'm sure it will come in handy often.

People defend this piece of shit knowing that if they were in a car wreck with him, he would let them fucking die. He would let them lay there and not try to help.

Unbelievable.

it's a "my team right or wrong" mentality. they'll try to spin it as a teary-eyed tale of redemption, but it's all about naked self-interest. we learned nothing from the Pacman days.

How are they straw arguments? I contend if you have never driven while intoxicated throw the first stone. Just because you never killed anyone while DWI doesn't make it different just lucky. It's not like he said I'm getting sloshed and going to kill my friend in an accident. I guess I KNOW I have fucked up and DWI and have been lucky not to have kill or injured anyone. By the way not one DUI on my record but I have been stupid plenty of times. Brent skills are football so teams will take a chance. If a great lawyer gets a DUI you don't think a firm will give him a shit at practicing. Or a great surgeon, won't get a 2nd chance. You can't use the common folks when grading the situation because NFL talent is not common.

That has nothing at all to do with Brent, or whether he should be wearing the star or not. This is all deflection and fallacious. As pointed out earlier.

Please: Brent is 2nd team talent at best, don't be comparing him to a "great surgeon" or anything else "great."

This is how silly and illogical the argument is: the surgeon and the lawyer would LOSE THEIR LICENSES to practice, if they were convicted of intox manslaughter.

You are reaching for comparisons where none exist, in a apparent desperate attempt to defend a dumbass, fatass, mid to low level talent anyway. There's no logic at all to support it.

Dude is a serial substance abuser. To the point he killed someone. Then while out on bail for that, fails multiple piss tests.

Tell me again how that is someone you want on the team, showing that level of dedication to come back.
You can't use the common folks when grading the situation because NFL talent is not common
And yet, that is what you have been trying to do with the whole "have any of you ever drank and drove" crap.

See yet?

You want to waste a roster spot, why? For some little social project?

You are mistaking that I'm all in on him being a Cowboy. Do I think he can help? He almost has to be an improvement by default. And I had excepted the fact he will be back in Dallas months ago. I will hope every guy wearing the star is successful. Doesn't matter if I like him or not. This team has a long history of questionable character's. I supported them while they were here but would wipe my hands of them the second they are gone.Thrust me when Brent's no longer a Cowboy I won't give a damn about him.

It has ZERO to do with idolizing anyone. It's the nature of the business. If you had Peyton skills you too could be a complete ass and keep your job as an NFL QB.

So might Michael Sam, or any number of other DTs who haven't killed anyone.

Furthering bbgun's point he made earlier.

Again here we are, making comparisons where none exist. One could just as easily argue that since Manning is white, there wouldn't be a little social experiment to reclaim him after he killed someone in a DUI fugue. But that would be just as illogical as all of your arguments thus far.

Cutting him from the team is a punishment.

He did not look like a 2nd team at best when he started in the 2012 season opener.

He can take on and beat double teams in the run game. Bishop is the best guy we have right now and he just holds his ground. He needs to work his lower body strength. In 2012, Brent was the strongest guy on the field and that included Carl Nicks before staph tanked his all pro career. When people rely completely on generalizations in player evaluations it typically means they don't know what the fuck they are talking about.

if he doesn't look like he can play, he'll never be activated to the 53, let alone the 46

Yup no one is saying keep him no matter what but those that don't even want to take a look and instead talk vaguely at best about his skills as if that justifies not looking are full of shit.

Bunch of ostriches.

Yeah because Pac-man was the problem. . .

Certainly didn't stop Cinci from getting to the playoffs.
