What you do not see is that sentence indicating it was the basis of the appeal.
Yes, you do.

Agent might change his rhetoric, but his most recent comments are all about how his voluntary retirement should get him a easier road. That's the argument.

He can cite precedent all he wants, as well.
Again critical thinking and reading skills
I am starting to believe this is projection on your part. I am almost sure it is.

He was never released, or cut, and his return is pending his appeal of the conditions. Seems he doesn't feel it's important enough to serve his suspension and undergo the monitoring the league is requiring.

He is NOT on the roster in any form, pending the appeal.

He RETIRED and should stay retired.

Reading will help you. He has been reinstated. His appeal is complete he can join the team and attend meetings 2 weeks earlier then the original suspension called for. Also he IS under contract with the Cowboys. Like it or not he's part of the Cowboy's. Maybe he helps or maybe he'll never play a down. As I stated earlier if he's wearing the star I want him to succeed. I will NEVER hope a Cowboy player fails.

Where's this? The bolded? Last I read he was under appeal, still.

He is NOT on the roster, not even the inactive/suspended roster. Cowboys official site.

Josh Brent of Dallas Cowboys eligible sooner to join his teammates for workouts - ESPN Dallas

ARLINGTON, Texas -- When the*Dallas Cowboys*return to work on Monday, suspended defensive tackle*Josh Brent*will be eligible to join his teammates, according to multiple sources.

Brent and the NFL agreed to a modified suspension on Friday in which he will still miss the first 10 games of the season, but he will be allowed to work out and take part in meetings with the Cowboys two weeks earlier than the original conditions of the suspension as well as other concessions.

That's the news I missed.

He's still not on the roster, however. In any form, and the appeal is still pending.

Thank you for the link!

Please show me the phrase in your quote that links that statement to the appeal. I showed you where they talked of precedent and the appeal. Now your turn. Bold the link.

The report says Brent and the NFL came to an agreement and you insist the appeal is still pending? Amazing, just fucking amazing.

The hearing won't be scheduled? They missed the deadline - apparently couldn't give the guy a hour over the 13 days required, so they modified the conditions only a little?

Why then isn't he on the roster?

He's been like this ever since I mentioned critical thinking skills earlier. He's not going to ever concede a point with me here.

You want me to use some critical thinking skills to help determine why you don't see him listed on the DC.com site and yet still the appeal has been resolved and he has returned to VR?

this should not be hard.

Look the appeal closed on September 26th. He's probably not on the roster because all he can do at the moment is attend meetings. He cannot practice or work out with the team. Do you need to be on a roster to sit in meetings?

I'm telling you, he IS under contract.

Now if he gets in legal trouble tomorrow the league will out likely ban him for life, but as of today he is a member of the Cowboy's

He's either on the roster or he isn't. He should be showing on the reserve/suspended list at the very least.

But, now we're on to the feel good story - can he battle his demons and win, and make himself a contributor to society and use his salary to help the daughter he partially orphaned.

Here's hoping he can, now that the deal is done.

I have no problem if he concedes or not. I miss this kind of debate.
All we can do now is root for him to save his own life and do good for Brown's daughter.

I had no idea this was a done deal. Now that it is, there's really no arguing it.
