If you want to see what government waste and abuse looks like:
https://canadafreepress.com/article...-new-home-appliances-to-reduce-electric-bills
So Abrahams NGO gets $1.9 billion, yes, billion, and she used it to upgrade appliances in a Georgia town, population 120, to reduce homeowners electric bills. She save 1 family $90 per month!
She spend about $21 million per household to save $8100 per month! It will only take 216 years to break even!
This case should be audited down to the penny to find out where that money went. I will bet Stacy Abrams, or her campaign, benefitted nicely from this corruption.
And look at Chris Hayes. He doesn't bat an eyelash at the numbers or her explanation. Instead he give it the, "see, Trump is lying again" treatment. The media in America has gotten absurd and ridiculous. There is no journalism anymore, just a bunch o bloggers who get paid to spew their idiotic opinions as facts.
Dubbed “Vitalizing DeSoto,” the program’s goals include transforming the small community 32 miles north of Albany by weatherizing as many of the 116 homes in the community whose owners choose to participate and providing one of three energy-efficient appliance upgrades: an HVAC heat pump, a heat pump water heater or an induction range. This transformation should, officials say, positively impact job opportunities, citizens’ health, the environment, and housing opportunities in a community dotted with abandoned homes and run-down properties
But Abrams and Rewiring America, a nonprofit whose goal is to help homes, businesses and communities go electric, to reduce the emissions that cause climate change, but also to lower people’s monthly bills and improve the health and comfort of their homes, had special plans for DeSoto. Using philanthropic support and up to $5,000-per-house incentives from Georgia Power, they changed the game plan as it impacted the small community.

I don't think anyone thought they spent $21 million per home. The point is, it looks bad. Why give them $1.9 billion before they actually need the money? Why this program? Because Stacy Abrams is involved? Of course that's why this program got money and others didn't. It's the same reason Burisma hired Hunter Biden. This is corruption and it is all over the place. All of these NGOs and charities need to be audited because the likelihood of fraud or money laundering is enormous - AND it is taxpayer money. We deserve to know where every penny of our tax dollars is spent. The problem we have now is people expect the graft and abuse. They have become accustomed to it and build it into their mental model of government, like retail stores accept shoplifting losses every year. This is a recipe for disaster and graft but it’s also not being reported accurately
There were about 114 homes available for the pilot program done in 2023-2024 and there were incentives up to $5,000 per home. The 1.9 billion is to expand the program nationwide and hasn’t been done yet. In the event it went to individuals in older run down homes, especially elderly folks whose homes I’ve worked on, the program isn’t bad in theory
Unfortunately the road to hell is paved with good intentions so there’s likely to be enormous waste and fraud that gets baked into the pie

Because we know they didn't spend $1.9 billion on this program. So I would like to know why they were given $1.9 billions to basically a start-up organization, and what happened to the rest of the money? I would like to know how much went to Stacy Abrams or her campaign, and how much went to friends of hers?Agree with the rest your commentary but why did you write this if you didn’t think they 21 million per home? Not playing gotcha but that’s the way I interpreted your post:
Almost everyone in the comments think the 1.9 billion was spent on those few homes so it’s definitely being misunderstood
