The problem is our government has become so accustomed to just paying out money they don't even question it anymore. No one is paying attention and no one is stopping this fraud when it starts.

The next time Democrats talk about raising taxes just remember all this waste and abuse that exists with the money they are already taking from us. If the price of eggs upsets you, this garbage should make you even more angry.

wish they would make evidence available of how they came to this conclusion, of course not one major network is bringing this up which lends credibility to the claim because if it was easily disproved, it would be plastered everywhere

The same people who convicted Trump or fraud in NY without a law violation, and found him liable for sexual assault despite the alleged victim not remembering when the assault place and providing no other evidence of the incident, demand absolute and almost impossible proof of the corruption Musk is finding.

But look at the details. All these NGOs getting money from the government, and all the media companies getting millions from the government, they are almost all friends of Democrats in Washington. Look at who runs these NGOs. Mostly people who left a Democrat administration, started an NGO and took big salaries for themselves to run the NGOs Or they are relatives of prominent Democrats. Of course this could all be innocent, but ask how the government decides which private organizations get funding from the government?
None of them should be getting a dime from the government. If they can't survive on private donations then maybe they don't deserve to exist.

And of course, the media should get nothing from government. $30,000 subscriptions to companies like Politico is corruption.

I am not sure when the government changed the process but I believe it is now law that when a death certificate is issued, the issuer must notify SS of the person's death and SS will automatically halt payments to the dead person - or claw any payments back that were made after death. This is what happened when my brother passed a couple of years ago.

But if this process was not started until a few years ago, it is understandable how so many dead people are still on the SS rolls.

But I have 2 questions, is SS cutting checks to all these dead people? and, why doesn't the system have a reasonability check to halt payments to anyone that appears to be 120 years old or older?

Clearly, every check paid to a dead person that is cashed is fraud. Maybe eliminating this fraud is how they can pay for Trump's plan to not tax SS benefits.

I don't like the mass firings happening so quickly, only weeks after DOGE went to work. There's no way they could have studied much on any of this it looks like they're just cutting the last X number hired after a certain date. It just looks random and it's hurting people and families. And the "savings" are insignificant in the big picture. A raindrop in Lake Michigan.

They also recently offered an 8 month severance package people could have taken, thats way better than most private businesses can offer

and if the jobs prove that critical, they can bring them back.

I say rip that band and off completely, outside of the ridiculous sums of money that gets poured into the economy from all their spending on salaries, I doubt we'd notice a difference if 75% were gone over night
