Sounding like the interviews of both Curtis and Koger are to satisfy stupid league DEI interview requirements.

I think Moore would have been worse because I don't see him inspiring a flea to bite a dogs ass. Schottenheimer at least has some rep as a get in your face kind of guy and we have a roster of players who need that.
Oh hell no! If Jones was just going to hire another Jason Garrett, then he should have just brought McCarthy back on an extension & be done w/it. All season he said he was happy w/McCarthy. He waited too long KNOWING he was going to cut McCarthy. Jerry interviewed 4 HC's after McCarthy left & thumbed his nose at all 4.

Jerry's hiring of Garrett's clone is clearly Jerry's way of saying, I GOT A NEW PUPPET, AND A CHEAP ONE AT THAT! You just don't hire someone as Schottenheimer as the Dallas Cowboys new HC.The man has absolutely no experience whatsoever,. Hasn't called a single play since the last 4 games at Jacksonville. Then they fired him after Pederson came aboard. Lets not forget Schottenheimer' firing in Seattle as their OC after a couple seasons.

Hiring Moore woild have been the smart decision being Jerry dragged his feet on hiring Ben Johnson, or did he? Moore could have taken Dallas' offense to a new level.

Remember, McCarthy took over play calling the last two seasons. Moore showed signs of greatness as Dallas's OC. That greatness has landed Moore in the Superbowl as the Eagles OC one season after being released.

Jerry knew all along who his next HC was going to be. Jerry went to the bottom of the barrel finding the cheapest Cowboys 10th franchise HC. PRICELESS!

Its most likely a poor hire and we'll probably see that the idiot Jones' made this hire for exactly what you said, having a HC that they can pull on the puppet strings on.

But the Schottenheimer and Garrett situations are not similar. Moore is much closer to what the Garrett situation was, and they did the right thing by passing on him. Schottenheimer may ultimately fail as a HC (and probably will here) but he's been coaching in the NFL for 2+ decades, Garrett at the time and Moore now have not.

Moore never showed any sign of greatness here and was poor in San Diego last yr, so poor that Jim Harbaugh gave absolutely zero consideration to retaining him as the OC. McCarthy certainly was not good at play calling IMO, but the 2023 season produced some huge numbers for the offense and Prescott in general. Moore's last season as OC here ended with what at the time was Prescott's worst statistical season of his career and like McCarthy, Moore was awful in the playoffs.

This could be a sneaky good hire. Cards OL has been one of the best in the league the last two seasons, especially in terms of run blocking success. They've totaled over 4800 rush yds and averaged 5.2 yds per carry. Ranked 7th this season and 4th in 2023.

PC for Schottenheimer is today at 12pm EST.

Have a meeting so going to miss it, but will post clips later if nobody else does.

That said, I am sure all of you are overcome with excitement and anticipation, and I know Yim can't wait to hear from Jerry. I bet you guys will post 47 clips today of this.

Wonder what the odds are that we get to hear much from the new HC. Probably slim.

I'm sure it'll be two hours of diarrhea of mouth by the Jones-tards

You said it dbair. I'm just glad that Zimmer is gone. Nice guy and he's been through a lot. But I just didn't like him as our DC. All these new coaches are going to fail and they're saddled with a QB that, when it's all said and done, is going to add some more coaching casualties to his resume.
