It almost seems like blasphemy to consider, but would you trade him (Martin) if he won't play under his current deal?
He'll be 33 in November, he's still a superb/elite player, but do you pay him another 5-10 per yr (I think he is set yp make 13 or so this yr) at his age?
He's one of the real leaders on the team and works his ass off, his career stat line for avoiding holding penalties is almost unheard of. But with a tough cap situation and so many cornerstone guys needing new deals, it's something they might have to think about.
What would we get for him? What return would make this warranted? It definitely creates a potential major hole at RG and they'd almost assuredly have to sign a vet to replace him (for this year anyway)
