That’s not true. Not even a little bit.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

Getting rid of a running back has absolutely nothing to do then getting rid of your franchise QB!

Running Backs are a dime a dozen and can be easily replaced. Their production can be replaced by no name middle rounders for little to no money.

Replacing and finding your next franchise QB is a completely different matter.

And what have you seen in the past 2 decades of QB play/QB contracts would lead you to believe that Jerry would move on from Dak?

When in fact, Jerry has shown just the opposite when it comes to his franchise QB and their contracts.

Jerry kept the hobbled and often injured Romo around who never performed in the playoffs, never won the big game, and Jerry refused to move on from him until he found his next franchise QB in Dak.

He made Tony the highest paid Cowboy in franchise history without Romo proving he could win the big games. Just the opposite of what you are claiming.

He also made Dak the highest paid Cowboy in franchise history without Dak proving that he could win the big games. Not only that he made Dak the highest paid player in NFL history at the time. Again, this is just the opposite of what you u are claiming.

Jerry has proven over the past 20 years that he is not willing to move on from his franchise QB’s and that he was willing to give them record setting contracts even when they have proven the can’t win the big game.

And Jerry made both of these guys the highest paid player in franchise history!

Zack's fined $50 grand per practice for holding out. Does he honestly think he won'thet paid?! 🤔

Because the 9 quarterbacks after Aikman & before Romo never even sniffed the playoffs! And they didn't have 8-8 Garrett as HC. What was their excuse?!

By all accounts, he had a superb offseason and has really stood out the first couple days of camp this year.

I liked this kid last yr in the draft and was glad we took him. I think he has a pretty good future.

I've always thought the run blocking scheme needed fixing. Am hoping that's part of this, but they have to eliminate all the wasted zero yd runs, negative runs etc etc on 1st or 2nd down.

look at this little MFer

This kid is going to get killed and is just a waste of a roster spot. We're going to keep him so we have our yearly feel good story at the expense of a bruising short yardage back. If he had an Eagle's jersey on instead of being a Cowboy, we'd all be laughing our asses off.

When you can’t see your RB behind the water girl you know it’s time to worry.

Martin willingly signed a $88 million dollar contract with $20 million dollar bonus. Now he is trying to hold the team hostage. Other younger players have a pay day coming (Parsons). Martin is 32 & will be 34 when his current contract is up. No one is going to give him more money or an extended contract. Stop thinking about yourself Zack!

This is one of the reasons why I was screaming at the TV when they bypassed O’Cyrus Torrance in the second round and took Schoonmaker who now looks to be out for awhile. Not necessarily that I thought Zach Martin would hold out , but because we are already thin at the guard spot. Don’t think for one minute that Zach doesn’t know that. It’s always something with our Cowboys. Just when you think this is the year, there will be some kind of drama that throws a wrench in the wheel. It’s so hard for me to have sympathy for any player at any position making millions of dollars to play a game we all love. When is enough enough???Come on Zach, get back in camp and let’s go win a Super Bowl!

Martin is arguably the best guard in the entire NFL.

The guy has more Pro Bowls than holding calls in his entire career for gods sake. He’s a guaranteed Hall of Famer! They literally don’t get much better than him.

He deserves every penny that’s coming to him.

Jerry needs to pay the man, and he will!

Again, he is short, he is not "small". There's a difference.

He has powerfully built thighs and his pure running and cutting skill is insane. He's also a tremendous receiver out of the backfield (and even out of the slot when K State tried him there)

I mean, the video don't lie amigo. He isnt some gimmicky little token player. Look at where the vast majority of his runs are in this clip. Look at all the missed or broken tackles.

I don't think he'll be a superstar or anything but I do think he has a chance to be a very valuable piece on offense.

You cant give every player a new market setting contract every time another player on another team signs one.

Its pure insanity with the players. The owners deserve plenty of blame too (especially for the incredible stupidity in regards to QB contracts) but a line has to be drawn somewhere.

deuce vaughn

i love deuce. he is really fun to watch. hopefully he can stick around. they do say that he can take hits, but he hasnt been hit squarely or really hard yet. that speaks a lot to his shiftiness. but it is worrisome once he faces NFL players on a weekly basis.
