I wouldn't be too sure about that Scotie. Jerry's been on cue the last few years pertaining to his players. He's paying them lots of coins, & if they continue not performing, the guillotine will be released.
Ezekiel Elliott is the perfect example. Seems as though once these guys get paid, their play goes south. Jerry was also smart enough NOT giving Schultz what he wanted.
Luv that back view! Nothing better than men in tights. Especially in the huddle bending over!
That’s not true. Not even a little bit.
You are comparing apples to oranges.
Getting rid of a running back has absolutely nothing to do then getting rid of your franchise QB!
Running Backs are a dime a dozen and can be easily replaced. Their production can be replaced by no name middle rounders for little to no money.
Replacing and finding your next franchise QB is a completely different matter.
And what have you seen in the past 2 decades of QB play/QB contracts would lead you to believe that Jerry would move on from Dak?
When in fact, Jerry has shown just the opposite when it comes to his franchise QB and their contracts.
Jerry kept the hobbled and often injured Romo around who never performed in the playoffs, never won the big game, and Jerry refused to move on from him until he found his next franchise QB in Dak.
He made Tony the highest paid Cowboy in franchise history without Romo proving he could win the big games. Just the opposite of what you are claiming.
He also made Dak the highest paid Cowboy in franchise history without Dak proving that he could win the big games. Not only that he made Dak the highest paid player in NFL history at the time. Again, this is just the opposite of what you u are claiming.
Jerry has proven over the past 20 years that he is not willing to move on from his franchise QB’s and that he was willing to give them record setting contracts even when they have proven the can’t win the big game.
