And just so I can be informed, tell me what parts of Obama's wonferful gun control legislation will actually result in something positive. You know, where there's something explained in his proposal that guarantees less innocent people will die or are harmed.

Do any penal laws guarantee such a thing?
Since you probably can't understand what that means, I'll explain - do drunk driving laws guarantee that there will be less drunk drivers? Do laws restricting access to vehicles/drivers licenses guarantee people won't carelessly text and cause enormous accidents?

The problem with alot of those laws isnt that they exist, its how they are enforced (or lack of)
When you have liberal judges/courts who constantly sympathize with people who commit bad crimes, there becomes a sense that the laws are paper tigers. We are too lax in the way we punish people, particularly people who commit the worst crimes.

I think the problem is you just dont "get it" SP
Making it harder to get guns isnt going to lower murder or violence rates.
Making the punishment fit the crimes will alter the thinking of some though. Thats what liberals never want to focus on, instead they focus on how to make it easier for some of these garbage in life to continue to get more chances because "we can change them"

You're fooling yourself if you think the govt will come into states like Texas and start taking people's guns without a fight. I'm not sure if you have ever been here, but we aren't like a lot of other states. Rednecks are fucking crazy. They will fight back. Whether it be a losing battle or not, they will die fighting for their guns.

Yes.
I know this guy who actively lobbies for open revolution.He's quite serious.
He talks this noise as Apache helicopters go back and forth from Fort Bliss to Fort Huachuca regularly,and "unarmed" drones and balloons guard the border.
His potential to become a non radioactive gas cloud goes up everyday.

They don't want to get it. The laziest and easiest answer is to just pass a law. Who gives a damn if it's effective so long as they are "doing something"? It's not the answer, but it's easier to blame those not guilty than to have to hunt down the criminals and enforce the gun laws already in place.
