So why could he not make it work in Miami?

This Parcells worship just really needs to stop he did a OK job while in Dallas and there has not been some huge dropoff since he left its still the same choking mistake prone team that he built.

Bigboi: Parcells teams were great in the fall and shitty down the stretch.

mb4: no, that's a hallmark of the Cowboys, not Parcells teams.

bigboi: THEN WHY COULDN'T HE MAKE IT WORK IN MIAMI???????????

Your move mb4.

The fact still remains these teams are remarkably similar and I don't know how you see 5-11 in the future when we just went 8-8 with a patched up o-line and secondary.

How do you see a transformation to 5-11 happening when we have added good young talent the past 2 drafts?

We have the same barely above average team that Parcells had when he was here there is no huge difference.

I don't think we have a good head coach. I know we don't have a GM worth a shit. All of our best players outside of Sean Lee are on the wrong side of 30.

Just a hunch.

Dez Bryant, Demarco Murray, Jason Witten, Felix Jones, Tyron Smith, Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson, Mike Jenkins, Dan Bailey...oh, and some guy named Demarcus Ware

None of them are 30

this you are a shit fan thing is bogus.

Sorry, but it isnt. It definitely applies to some here.

And bum bright wasn't the gm, he was the owner, not a good one but he still had Tex and Brandt running the football operations. Many of the scouts were on board with Jimmy and Jerry and helped them build the dynasty from that era.

So what? He ran the football team. He made a ton of bad decisions on how the team was run. He decided to be a cheap ass when contracts were up on several of our best players. he was awful. One of the worst owners in NFL History.

I think our best players are Romo, Ware and Witten.

Those 3 will all be at or over 30 by the start of next season.

I though Jason was going to be 30 by next season. No?

There's more than 3 good players on the team though.

Romo is 31. Witten will be 30 in May, Ware turns 30 in July

I'll give you Tyron Smith. The rest are huge question marks. Not players I'd build around.

Although, I may not even give Tyron. He has to flip sides and prove he can be as good as he was at RT.

No love for Sean Lee? He was arguably our most complete defender this year and made a noticeable impact when in the lineup as opposed to him being out.

I agree with your basic premise though. The talent on this roster is overrated. We need a serious infusion of youth.

Take those 3 players away, the team might win 3 games on accident.

You bring up 4 guys in your previous post. Robinson, Dez, Murray and Felix.

I can't label them franchise type players or "really good players". Robinson isn't even a lock to return. Felix is not a really good player, IMO, he's meh. DeMarco could be, he has to build on his rookie season and stay healthy. Dez is a moron that I don't count on past his rookie contract.

I guess you could say Austin, but he's been decent since he exploded onto the scene.

Mike Jenkins and Dan Bailey? Mmkay.

My favorite player on the defense. I mentioned him already. I think he's going to really good. I need to see it.
