irrelevant to my point which was it is refreshing to see a player publicly acknowledge whats been true for 30 years

“Dallas is my home… But I know for sure I’m not gonna win a Super Bowl there”
I personally am not so sure he won't see a SB in Seattle. They've got some nice pieces A little luck in the draft and they could be right there in the thick of it.

Of course, a lot depends on Darnold, but the coach in Seattle wanted Darnold. He coached him in San Fran. So that was a planned outcome that in their eyes makes them better.

Problem is they're mired in the NFC West.

Williams and Sanders are minimum wage veterans brought here as depth and insurance, but they both have decent skill that makes them solid backups with roles they can fill. There's only so many Barkley's running around out there and there wasn't one available in free agency this year. There's also the fact that Philly only got Barkley last yr because he had a history of being overrated and injury prone. They caught lightning in a bottle.

Our lead back is coming via the draft.

Now about that factoid where I noted Williams numbers are identical to Dillon's? You also left out that Dillon can't help anybody if he can't play, and he's probably one hit away from permanent NFL retirement after not playing last yr. You're telling me you think the Eagles signing of him is better than guys like Williams or even Sanders?
Do you really think the Philly GM is as dumb as Jerry Jones?

Do you really think they'd sign Dillon if the medical staff said he was one hit away from permanent retirement? Does that sound like a move the Eagles would make?

Granted, this is the NFL and every player is one hit away from permanent retirement.

We need to smoke a lot of hopium to think Dallas is going anywhere. As of tonight, we don't even have a decent backup QB. Will Grier?

I liked him more than Rush (when they were battling), but the reality is he has bounced around for a reason.

Of course, I never say never because I do believe that hard work can make a player better.

I used to smoke the hell out of that shit to try & find some way to overcome the albatross of ownership but now my tolerance is impenetrable

Once upon a time, I even tried to talk myself into thinking Garrett could be a good coach

dont do drugs people!

its all over

Don't worry, just like with RB, it's coming in the draft. So is the new LG and more. It's all in the draft. Jerry told every NFL team that they are not allowed to draft any of the players we want. So no team, for example, can draft Jeanty, and if they do, then they have to leave Hampton for us. Oh, and maybe even Jaxson Dart too.

It's the draft! We draft better than any team in the NFL!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The proof is in all the Super Bowls we have been in compared to teams that draft like shit, like the Patriots.

I don't think Garrett was all that bad. I think there were things that happened that are directly the fault of Jerry Jones and Garrett had to do his best to mend it.

I think Garret wanted to get rid of Dez Bryant and that is why Dez has a beef with him. Coaches like Dooley were exhausted with having to deal with Dez. But as fans we tend to side with the star player.

I think Garrett wanted nothing to do with players like Randy Gregory, Jaylon Smith, and Greg Hardy. I think that when Garrett wanted to instill discipline on the team for things like Marion Barber's sideline antics, it was Jerry who interfered.

I think a lot has gone on over the years with Jerry that has been suppressed because coaches do not want to be blackballed by Jerry (and reporters want access). Jerry has a lot of power in the NFL. You see some of the frustration come out when Aikman talks sometimes. He'll allude to how Garrett had to deal with shit sometimes without directly saying it.

The one constant that hasn't changed is Jerry Jones. Except now it has spawned. At some friggin point, we need to stop blaming the coaching. Without Joe Montana and Jerry Rice, Bill Walsh becomes an average coach with a lot of ideas. The GM must bring in players! Not players who want to smoke weed (David Irving) or have domestic violence issues that take half the season away (Zeke).

Garrett wanted "the right kind of guys," meaning he wanted people who took the game seriously enough to not drink and drive (Josh Brent). He wanted to draft and sign players who listened to coaching, not players who wanted to do what they wanted to do (Dez Bryant).

The GM didn't really listen to his coach, but the coach was and is a loyal person, IMHO. So why isn't Mike McCarthy saying anything? because he wants a job.

Garrett might not have been the second coming of Tom Landry (neither was Landry for a good while), but I think fans shit on Garrett unfairly.

I just hope Schotty finds a way to navigate the currents and has luck on his side.

True. Ravens will be just as screwed as any other team if their starter gets injured
Not really, IMO. Unless Henry has lost it. They have an OL that can easily convert to smash mouth and Rush would just need to manage the game. They've got a good D too.

They also have a kicker who can win them games 6-0.

I don’t think any of the players feared Garrett or McBarfey

Their kicker isn’t nearly the stud he used to be.

I think Rush is good enough to keep a defense honest enough to where they don’t drop 8 or 9 in the box to stop the run.

Don’t count on it

I'd like to see how his contract is structured and if it become void if he doesn't make the roster. In any event, Rush isn't a good fit for the Ravens. Their O with Jackson is completely different than what an O with Rush would look like.

Cooper Rush signs with Ravens
Excellent. I had been a little worried that they might resign Rush befor the draft and then use that as an excuse to pass on QB again.

The odds we'll land out future starting QB in this draft are probably slim, but at least they'll be taking a shot. We may be one step closer to the dream of no more Prescott now.
