Leaving aside the question of whether winning the game yesterday was a good thing or not (in terms of the draft), and that it was incredibly dramatic - how do you allow a game that you had almost complete control of descend into absolute chaos?
We're the Cowboys that's how.

He is getting better. 12 tackles and 2.5 TFL's in the last 3 games. He's had at least 3 tackles in 8 of the last 9 games.

He isnt all pro or anything but he is having a couple plays or so like this every week now.

I won't, but it will definitely happen.

And Yim's favorite Owner will be leading the charge.

Of course we're gonna beat the tanking Giants. That's why it was imperative to lose yesterday.

^^^ I think we definitely would have done it in 1990 had Aikman not gotten hurt v Philly in game 15.

We were actually 3-7 and won 4 straight, Aikman got hurt fairly early at Philly and we lost that game and then the following week at Atlanta with Babe Laufenberg stinking up the joint.

Those two horrible games by Laufenberg prompted Jimmy to trade for Steve Buerlien in the offseason, and after Aikman got hurt in week 11 v Washington, we won our last 5 games to make the playoffs.

Spot on and exactly how I remember it. We would have made the playoffs for sure and I remember watching Babe and just having the life sucked out of me afetr seeing how bad he was.

Also, it doesn't matter where we pick if there's not a QB within striking distance. If this isn't a QB deep draft, no other position will make a difference in the box score. It's just applying a bandage to a gushing chest wound.

Would still have made it at 7-9 if the Rams had beaten the Saints on MNF. Saints won with a last second FG.
