Yeah except for there are no Troy Aikman's in the 2025 NFL Draft.

If not for the last 4 or so mins of the game, this would have been by far the best defensive effort of the season (Cleveland was really good but Deshaun Watson is the worst player in the league)
Even with 56 great mins of defense, we still gave up 4 tds and over 400 yds of offense, along with a ridiculous 85+ yd TD when all they had to do was tackle the guy. The Foreskins scored 16 points in a total of 3 mins and 35 seconds of game time.
Mike Zimmer is the absolute WORST defensive coordinator in the history of football when it comes to closing out games in the 4th qtr. They blew numerous games when he was DC here before. He repeatedly blew winnable games in Cinci and Minny, and he nearly butchered this today.

Calm down. He drilled the others.
The blocked FG is not his fault and while it counts as a "miss" for him, the blockers totally whiffed. Its the 2nd time this yr that happened and it nearly happened later in this game too.
Fassell is damn lucky he has Aubrey and Turpin, because this special teams unit has been a complete disaster otherwise.

Hats off to all the backups! Rush dropped some dimes. Turpin's magical spin leading to a TD. Schoonmaker stepping up proving he can be a number one TE. Diggs who? Butler was lights out! These guys played their hearts out. Great seeing the almighty Quinn lose to 2nd stringers, Dallas!

Egals have one of the easiest schedules. The ONLY .500 team they defeated was Washington. When they play a real team (playoffs), they'll be one & done! Hope they win the division so they have a tougher schedule next season.

Leaving aside the question of whether winning the game yesterday was a good thing or not (in terms of the draft), and that it was incredibly dramatic - how do you allow a game that you had almost complete control of descend into absolute chaos?

They rushed 3 and dropped 8. Nobody even came close to tackling him as I recall. Nobody should have been able to get open and run free like that against a prevent defense.
