Such a shame to see a player like Austin Eckler go down with 14 (9 seconds). That's one reason Thomas should have just fallen on the ball. That could be a Cowboys player needlessly hurt.

I know I sound like a bad fan. It's great for the players and coaches, but I would have preferred to lose. Sometimes the difference in draft position can mean taking Troy Aikman or taking Tony Mandarich.

Surprising game. I was thinking pretty much the same. I wonder if the Commanders (gosh I hate that name) had a bunch of injuries along the DL because I was surprised W didn't dominate there.

I heard Broaddus say a draft can be screwed up even with a high pick. He used the Niners and their pick of Trey Lance as an example. That's true, but let's not forget that there are other rounds and picking top 5 in every round is very helpful. It also allows a team to drop back and pick up more picks.

The bottom line is a draft can be screwed up no matter where a team is picking, but I like my odds better if I'm picking first.

In fact, if I had the top pick, unless there was a Troy Aikman, a John Elway, or a true blue chipper, I'd try to accumulate as many bites of the apple as possible in each round. However, not repeating the mistake Jerry made in 2009 in which he didn't pick anyone, I think, until round 3 (Jason Williams).

He walked off so all is good, but actually its funny as hell that he got jacked up like that.

Goodell pushed hard for that fuckstick "dynamic" kickoff play format to get big hits out of it, so I am glad it happened. Totally clean hit by our guy too (think it was Damone Clark)

Oh, and the fucker apparently DID fumble the ball, and the fucking officials didnt bother to look at it (there's no coaches challenges in final 2 mins)
