I have been trying to argue for a very long time that the fundamental flaw in the way Jerry does things (and apparently, teams like the Titans fired Vrabel because the owner wanted to use a consensus approach and the Falcons didn't hire Belichick because they wanted to use a consensus approach) is the "we make decisions by consensus" nonsense.

An organization needs a singular strong leader (GM) who can make personnel decisions on the spot, not call for constant meetings.

And Tex told Jimmy Nate was lazy and useless.
Early on, Nate was huge and needed to get motivated to cut some weight. I think Tex was frustrated with that. With a combination of his own determination and Jimmy's motivation (perhaps nutritionists too), Nate lost the weight so he could be effective.

While "The Kitchen's" reported playing weight was listed at 325, "The Kitchen" was reported to be between 375 and 400 under Coach Landry.

I think Tex was expressing frustration over trying to get Nate to lose weight.
