The separation is getting smaller and smaller. Weeks 4 through 9 we rocked. Good coaching will bite us in the ass eventually. Btw, I'm in favor of keeping Romo. The difference in payroll is insignificant.
1) (0:42 - 1st) E.Elliott left end to MIN 13 for 43 yards (A.Barr; H.Smith). PENALTY on DAL-D.Free, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at DAL 49 (note, would have been 1st down on Vikings 13)
2) (9:11 - 3rd) E.Elliott left tackle to DAL 35 for 7 yards (A.Sendejo). PENALTY on DAL-G.Escobar, Clipping, 14 yards, enforced at DAL 28 - No Play
3) (0:46 - 3rd) J.Looney reported in as eligible. E.Elliott right end pushed ob at DAL 35 for no gain (H.Smith). PENALTY on DAL-G.Escobar, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at DAL 35 - No Play (note, we had 1st and 20, next play was strip sack on Prescott)
4) (11:45 - 4th) (Shotgun) D.Prescott pass short middle to J.Witten to MIN 33 for 11 yards (H.Smith) [D.Hunter]. PENALTY on DAL-E.Elliott, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at MIN 44 - No Play (3rd down conversion wiped out)

This game was a sobering wake-up call. Our defense is really lousy. And our offense CAN be hindered by a good D. Hopefully some Dallas coaches are taking note of this. And it can't hurt our players, to escape a close call like this. There's some who think we need a loss to spap us back to reality, but a ugly win like this can accomplish the same result.
Like I observed, Elliot did not have a good day running the football due to his insistence on breaking his runs to the outside. PFF noted that the left side of the line was creating large holes for him. He was just choosing to run outside in the opposite direction.
I trust he'll watch the tape and figure it out from here on out.
Agreed. But I also think we're likely to lose at least one more. Hopefully the combination of this game and another loss or two gets the team focused for the playoffs.

yeah, I don't know what I was thinking, just watched the replay and couldn't see the false starts I thought I saw.
I grabbed what I thought were the 4 penalties everyone seem to have the biggest disputes with, so everyone can have at it and debate whether the calls were good, bad or other
I wouldn't say Dak played entirely like a rookie. He still didn't throw any int's. The average rookie likely folds under the pressure that defense was putting on Dak. The average rookie also doesn't have the awareness to stay in bounds on that slide Dak had.
For what it's worth Romo also doesn't make it out this game in one piece. There were several times Romo would have gotten absolutely killed.
You needed to pay attention to the secondary. Washington CB Sidney Jones and S Budda Baker along with Colorado CB Chidobe Awuzie all represent upgrades over what we trot out there week after week. Any of those players would make me happy. Seen enough of the 50 million dollar man Brandon Carr and Baker would represent the play maker they havent had in years.

Hey yim, thanks for uploading clips of the bullshit penalties. Do you have the bullshit holding on Escobar?
I left the thread because I was getting pissed, and didn't want to get into it with Dooms because this is his house. However, these videos only reaffirm my stance.
Hold on Free wiping out Zeke big run = phantom call. There is no evidence on the replay even hinting at holding.
Clipping on Escobar - complete bullshit call. Esco never even touched the guy's legs at all.
Hands to the face - ticky tack bullshit to the extreme.
Dak got popped in the face by a defender - no call, so the Vikings can suck it with their bitching, especially since they clearly false started on the play.
The hold on Escobar, I didn't see anything even remotely indicating holding on the replay, but I need to see it again.
In short, we got butt-fucked without lube by clearly biased officials in my opinion, and STILL beat the Vikings on the road. I'll drop it at that, because I don't want to cause any problems on this board.
Dooms isn't a hyper sensitive pussy like Hostile and his acolytes, I'm sure he'd welcome your argument and attack it with the ferocity he usually does when he gets on a roll, he loves that shit (and its fun to watch for the rest of us).
