BULLSHIT. What about the false start on that same play? They call that... then there is no roughing of Bradford. Not the one previous --- they called that.

I agree its a tricky tacky rule/call but its called all the time and I've seen them go our way as well, they could have easily called it here and they didn't which they certainly would have if we are to believe the theory that they were out to get us.

What false start are you seeing? The left tackle jumping early?

So you didn't see the false start on that play, where there was roughing the passer?

There was absolutely a false start. It should have been blown dead and a 5 yd penalty.

That was the 2nd blatant one they got away with too.

This game was our toughest and closest all season

We just never got the offense going for the only time all season

But thankfully we still came out with the win!

This was our toughest game left on the schedule too

The O wasn't bad. Just they kept shooting themselves in the foot and Zeke kept trying to take the football outside too much.

Then there were some dubious calls that killed drives.

Yes, it was very obvious.

And their RT (in fact RT and RG) both false started on a play earlier int he game (it was one of their FG drives) and that wasn't called either.

Nobody has any right to say the Vikes got hosed by anything. If not for 4-6 blatantly bad calls by officials the game might have been a blowout. We had a ton of really good plays wiped out by dubious fucking calls.

Ugly, nasty gritty game. The best type of win to earn. And I stress EARN. If that isn't the most hostile environ to play in as a visitor besides Seattle I don't know what is. They gutted it out and found a way. Feeling really good right now.

Uh... isn't that the definition of false start? Moving before the ball is hiked?

Well hopefully Zeke figured out from this game that you aren't going to turn the corner very often on very good defenses who pursue like that. So that he's not doing the same thing against Seattle and New York.

Yep. I believe its the first game we can say we won this year because of something other than the offense. Defense wasn't great but kept them out of the endzone until less than a minute remained. Had some sacks and good hits on QB. Special teams forced fumble was huge and our punter completely outdid their guy.

Well at least one doesn't have to go far to get a taste of the dumbest fanbase in the league.

Either way, happy we pulled it out. Ugly. These Thursday games need to go. I've yet to see a single memorable game all season.

Minny has a great D so I'm glad we won't have to see them again. Luckily some of the better playoff teams hemorrhage yards and points. My takeaway from tonight is that NFL teams suck at Thursday games. Fuck Goodell. Happy ratings blow this year.

What would he have had, 130-140 yards if not for several awful calls?

The fumble that he recovered was a bad play and he did try to bounce a few plays outside, but he got robbed of a pretty big yardage night by this crooked fucking crew.

during the game, this was my stress test and i passed:

- refs during that game
- watching dallas' sloppy offense
- dak's fumbles
- my colicky daughter
- reading that doomsday has dvr so obviously he's always right about everything

i consider a passing grade is not throwing my phone through the tv.

I think that Escobar call was legit (the hold). But I agree, he would have had 110, because that call on Free was pretty bad.

A win is a win is a win and sure beats the countless games we lost like this one in the past.

I did notice that

I also noticed our left tackle doing the same thing and thinking I sure am glad we didn't get a penalty on a few occasions

And I didn't say the Vikings got hosed, I just acknowledged there was enough contact to the head where a penalty could have been called and that strikes me as pretty obvious.

Having said that, I'm glad they didn't call it and think its a BS overly cautious rule

Just 13 first downs and only 1 of 9 on 3rd down conversions. Offense couldn't get into a rhythm and sustain any drives. Partly due to Vikings good D, partly due to our own sloppy play, and partly due to some debatable officiating.

Damn ugly and frustrating game but probably exactly the sort of game we needed to keep us on our toes.
