Late 1st I believe.

So he's really only an option if they trade down then. Unless he falls to 34 which is very possible. There are going to be some really good DT prospects available at 34. Billings is another one.

I think I'd prefer Bullard over Billings if we had the option. Bullard could easily start at LDE and kick inside on nickel/dime downs. Billings I think is strictly a 1T. Good player, but we signed Thornton to play the 1T spot and he is a substantial upgrade over Hayden already.

From Crappareport on Sirius NFL, might be just speculation on his part, but maybe interesting. The 2nd rd pick is one of those that the Titans got from the Rams. The 3d is the Titans own pick at the top of that round.

Trade rumor on Sirius NFL between Cowboys-Titans

Dallas moves back from #4 to #15.

Dallas also gets Titans #43 and #64.

From the value pick board...

#4= 1800

#15= 1050 #43= 470 #64= 270

It would give us 5 of the first 67 picks.

I'd still like to add another big body at the DT spot. Thornton's contract is pretty manageable to be able to do that.

I like this guy a lot. Simply ran roughshod over Michigan.

Gosselin will crucify them for moving out of range of blue chippers

Same here. You need to be able to keep sending wave after wave of players at the OL. Sure they have Crawford and Thornton but what is the level of talent behind them? Adding Bullard or Billings into that rotation would only strengthen the DL. Look at the 90's Cowboys DL for example Russell Maryland, Leon Lett, Tony Casillas, and Chad Hennings. There are no Nick Hayden's in that list.

Its a little farther down than I'd like to see them go too. If they could still get Lynch or maybe Clemson DE Shaq Lawson, I'd be more inclined to like it. Not sure either of those guys makes it that far though.

Geeze, this is just the crap that I hate.

Let's all get our panties wet for a marginal win on the draft value chart.

Let's ignore the strengths and needs of the team and focus exclusively on winning the last weekend of April.

I like my scenario better:

Titans Rams have #15, 43 & 45 (trade chart value = 1970)

If Dallas traded their #4 pick (trade chart value = 1800) to the Titans Rams for these three pics (Dallas is coming out ahead in points but tell them they owe jerri for supporting the move to LA and the fucking they got with the Claiborne selection, dallas would have the following picks in this years draft:

#15, 34, 43, 45

but I think I'd still be pretty happy with the above, it would be crazy if after the Titans/Rams trade that Dallas end up with these picks. IMHO, the imperfect nature of the draft makes having more picks in this range improve the odds of walking away with several good players, especially if its true that the draft is deep with quality players and short on blue chippers.

What about this trade:

Dallas gives #4(1800) & #67 (255) = 2055

Dallas gets the Titans #15 (1050) #33 (580) & 43 (470) = 2100

they probably wouldn't go for this but which would you prefer?

Confirming that Cowboys worked out Jared Goff in Berkeley this morning. Jerry Jones+Jason Garrett there. Jones reportedly loved what he saw.

If we could move from 4 to 2 to get Goff, and keep our 34th overall I think I'd be pretty damn happy.
