Can I be prejudiced against my own race, because I don't care for white 4-3 defensive ends. Some of the better gringo pass rushers are 3-4 "stand up" LBs like like Ryan Kerrigan and Clay Matthews. Back in the day, Kevin Greene. Watt is a 3-4 monster who would dominate in any scheme, so he's an anomaly. Guess we gotta hope that Bosa (if he's our pick) turns into another Jared Allen.

I think he had 7 1/2 as a Freshman and 13 1/2 as a soph, why would you think he couldn't get to double digit sacks?

He didn't do it last yr, but the coaching staff there has made comments about how much he was double (and sometimes even triple) teamed. He freed up a lot of other guys to make plays.

Watch his clips. He definitely has pass rush potential. Maybe he isn't a 15+ sack per yr guy, but there's no reason he cant be a fairly strong, if not dominant player who commands a lot of attention.

I think I read he is only 20 yrs old as well. He can still grow some (weight) and definitely get a lot stronger.

I just look at him and don't see the same caliber player that DWare, Von Miller, Watt, and elite guys like that are. I look at him and I see Greg Ellis. With a top 5 pick the player should be elite or be a franchise QB.

I will say this though, if they were hell bent on repairing the defense they would start this year by repairing the DL. Now if I were drafting that way (instead of best available) I would take Bosa at 4 and then Billings (or best available 1-tech). With those two guys added to the rotation Lawrence, Crawford, Thornton, and Gregory when he gets back the defensive like would be light years better. You could even add a resigned Jack Crawford.

Pretty sure JJ Watt is white. So is Jared Allen

Yes, that's why I mentioned them. The point is that they're exceedingly rare. At #4, we're expecting Bosa to be a perennial pro-bowler and an 8-10 sack guy. How many white, 4-3 defensive ends in recent memory have done that?

8-10 sack guys are rarely perennial pro bowlers

that is what I see as well. Greg Ellis part deux. Guy will give you an average of 8+ sacks a year and solid effort and hopefully a very good locker room guy.

But that is NOT worth a #4 pick

Skins found an 8-sack guy in the second round last year. Can you assure me Bosa will be better?

I don't know, don't really care and it doesn't really matter.

You rate the guy on his particular skills, not what others did previously.

So who is in this draft? Because he was extremely productive at a major university and shows the kind of traits physically to suggest he can be a difference maker in the NFL.

if race wasn't a factor, there should be a lot more dominant honky 4-3 DE's than Jared Allen

Hindsight is always 20-20 BB, but that's not how people draft.

Where would Romo have been picked in 2003 had everyone known how he was gonna turn out. How about Tom Brady? Jason Witten?

Tony is a try-hard guy who maximized his skills but has a ceiling. Witten is a big mouth hack who endlessly runs interference for Jerry and can swallow a bottle of bleach for all I care.

Romo's been a probowl QB and Witten is a HOF TE

Hindsight is 20/20, but both guys would be extremely early first round picks based on how they actually turned out.

Not worth the 4th pick of the draft according to our experts here, but here's someone else claiming Bosa is the best player in the draft:

Tier 1

This is the elite class of prospects in the 2016 NFL draft. They should be starters from Day 1 and project as perennial Pro Bowl players.

1. Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State (Grade: 96)
2. Laremy Tunsil, OT, Mississippi (95)
3. DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon (95)

Bosa has been in the No. 1 position all season, and I see no reason to change that now. He plays with exceptional technique and effort. And while Bosa may lack elite speed, he's a dominant player on the field. Tunsil, meanwhile, is firmly in the mix for the No. 1 overall pick because of his rare athleticism and upside. Buckner, who has the versatility to fit in a 3-4 or 4-3, has a motor befitting a player who will have a long and successful career.

Every draft is different.

In this year's draft, Bosa is a top 5 pick.

In this year's draft, you could see a Will Linebacker get drafted top 10.

In this year's draft, you will see a safety/cornerback with 3 career interceptions in the top 5 picks.
