IIRC wasn't it Mosley who reported back around the Combine that the Cowboy scouts liked Lynch almost as much, if not more than Wentz?

Almost the entire time after the Senior Bowl everyone was saying we were locked into Wentz and were going to take him at 4, then this report came out. Pretty sure it was Mosley. I think TE originally posted the scoop here somewhere but cant find it.

But I dunno, I wouldn't put it past them to float that out there after it was clear Wentz was going to go really high where they might not get him anyway. I mean the consensus is obviously that Wentz is much better, and it's not even close.

If the Cowboys take Zeke at No. 4, then it will likely be DL at 34. Keep an eye on Ogbah out of Okla State.

If the Cowboys go Ramsey at No. 4, look for a WR at 34. There will likely be a run on WRs in the 20s, though.

Jerry hasn't told anyone (maybe Gene?) which way he'll go between Ramsey and Elliott. Bosa is only in play if there's a trade down.

DC.com show is saying Cowboys are getting a lot of calls about trading down from 4.

I'd be very surprised if Dallas did a trade involving that #4 pick spot.

but if they only loved Ramsey at 4 and felt they could still get Elliott, Lawson or Bosa at say 8 or 9, it would make sense

But, wouldn't get Ramsey then since any trade presumably would include that #4 pick going to someone else.

Joel Klatt likes him and spoke pretty highly about him with Bob Sturm on The Ticket. He has him at 31, ranked ahead of Lynch at 32

It has become very fashionable to bash Cook and find flaws in his game and his personality, but this guy can play the position. First off, I was right next to Archie Griffin and Cook at the infamous "Trophy Snub" and I can assure you that it did not feel as bad on the stage as it appeared on TV. When a QB plays as much football as Cook has played over the last three seasons, it is easy to take shots and find flaws. But he understands how to operate a pro-style system and has shown the ability to put his team on his back in big moments and win games. He has made more pro-style throws in his career than any other QB in this draft. Cook is a solid pick and it won't shock me if he is the third QB taken.

I dont know what the fuck I'm looking at but when I watched him play, I was impressed at how he was throwing back shoulder passes all over the field and thought he looked pretty good. Then again, I thought James Hardy was gonna tear up the league and pretty much gave up trying to evaluate players after that shitty prognostication

Ramsey had three career interceptions, none in his last year. That is a little alarming for a guy you are thinking of at #4. But I know that Jason Garrett personally worked him out and threw balls to him, and did not think his ball skills were a drawback. And certainly looked natural going after the football at the combine.

They wouldn't do it before they went on the clock. Whatever they are doing now is just getting parameters set up so that if whatever they want to do is ready to go, they'll pull the trigger then. if they move down.
