He (DeMarcus Lawrence) looks a lot bigger and the explosiveness is pretty obvious. I think he is primed for a pretty big year if he stays healthy. Below it says he is 265 now and he looks every bit of that, he never looked like he was 260 last yr to me though. (they say he's gained 5lbs)

Here's some notes from a write up today on DC.com:

No one helped himself more than Lawrence following his rookie season, according to the program’s grading system. He is listed at 265, five pounds heavier than last season. But his biggest improvement was leg strength – a vital trait for a pass rusher’s quick first step. He raised his vertical leap by three and a half inches, and his 10-yard split time was faster than any defensive lineman on the team.

It'll be fun watching our OL against their DL the next few years.

I know we got good players and have drafted well lately, but we could've also had Logan and Cox instead of Claiborne and Escobar.

They going to have to pay them boys.

Our scouts liked both guys, but they also liked Claiborne and had him rated as the #1 def player in the draft that yr (like a lot of teams did)

Hindsight is always 20/20 and always makes for perfect drafting.

Were these the same scouts that also liked AOA over Kam Chancellor?

To me, Lawrence looked a little heavier last season than what Gregory is now; hence why I'm not worried about Gregory getting up to weight. It'll take just a year for Gregory to get up to ideal weight.

@DMN_George: Cowboys are working out WRs Phil Bates (Ohio) and Edmond Gates (Abilene Christian) and LB Dakorey Johnson (Kansas State) this morning.

We signed those guys and cut Deontay Greenberry, lache Seastrunk, and two other guys I never heard of before.

Then claimed a corner who was cut by buffalo.

Yeah David Moore said Ben Malena and that other RB we signed last week were getting more reps than Seastrunk, who had no idea where to go on most plays.

Not defending Seastrunk because he's obviously retarded but malena was here last year.

Either guy was a camp body at best. At least Malena has a clue where to go. Seastrunk had no idea what to do on a pass play.

Read both Tyron Smith and Free took 1st team reps at LT/RT, good news there.

Also sounds like they are pretty certain now that Zack Martin is ok

He got up and walked on his own power. Pretty strong indication it wasn't serious.

And literally every fruit and vegetable in the Kroger produce dept has more brains than you

lol, I could be wrong but I'm starting to think people around here don't like Garrett as a coach

Wrong. He's probably a nice guy who comes from a good family. It's his game, player and team decisions as well as his sideline clapping that are not liked.

I'm actually ok with his player decisions, assuming he's had a role in the roster construction. I just think he literally offers nothing in the way of quality coaching. Just coach speak and a savvy politician. Controls the media well.

But he sucks suck sucks on game days. He can't adjust. He can't put his players in a position to succeed.

If Campo had Romo, he would've accomplished more than Garrett has here.

OXNARD, Calif. — Joseph Randle suffered a setback during Thursday’s practice. The third-year running back, who has worked with the first-team throughout training camp, aggravated an oblique he strained a week ago.

You confirmed what I meant and thats fine with me, I could care less whether anyone likes him. I edited my post since it wasn't obvious to everyone I was referring to his coaching ability

Don't like him as a coach (obviously) or a person. I don't like people who lack humility, demonstrate zero sense of humor, and who refuse to admit mistakes or take blame. As a leader you're supposed to accept blame and share glory, but this guy does the opposite. He's a good snake-oil salesman for sure and I guess a good public speaker, though he shows zero creativity or cleverness in doing so.

In his defense, I guess when your boss yanks responsibilty from you, you have to act like you're the one in charge just so your charges won't lose all faith in you.

Shame that it fools so many people, but hey, those cheeseball Sunday morning televangelists have a lot of suckers mail them their money, too.
