Also read now Cole Beasley headed for MRI on Achilles.

3rd Cowboy for MRI this week.

No word yet on Zack Martin, although he did get off the field without cart or help

JFC, now Zack Martin down and reportedly in a lot of pain. Apparently cart was called in. Several team docs looking at him.

Moving arms and legs but they said its a neck type injury.

Training camp and preseason cant end soon enough.

They think it's a stinger. They said that Martin walked off with the trainer. I guess the cart was brought out for precaution.

Precautionary. Byron Jones had an MRI, and it came back negative. If it was a serious Achilles issues, Beasley likely wouldn't be walking on it and would be in a lot of pain.

I fucking hate it almost as badly as I do the offseason. The games don't count but the injuries suffered sure do. It's crap and mostly is just a excuse for the players if they're so inclined to arrive in camp out of shape anyway.

Half the fucking team is injured. You think that shit happens by playing patty cake. Oh that’s right, they are milking it. Please.

The good side of it is there's really no major injuries that are lost season time as yet.

What is the bet you want? That he outgains Chris Johnson? Or that he averages more yds per carry?

I'm good with either of those.

I kind of jumped from the Chris Johnson info to the larger issue that Randle is being considered by you and the brain trust as somehow a worthy replacement or even on par with Murray, Murray's running style and Murray's 4.41 speed. I saw your 6.7 ypc post from Randle's rather small sample size from last year.

This is the bet.

Since you used the 6.7 yards per carry as a reference for how Randle is an effective replacement, let's go with that.

Randle gets 6.7 ypc or more in the first game and I will not post at DCU under any alias until the week Dallas plays the Patriots. If Randle gets less than 6.7, you won't post at DCU until the week Dallas plays the Parriots.

Ballsy bet from a guy that has only posted 2k times in almost 2 and a half years.

I don't think my opinions are that important. And I usually use 1 post with 5000 words instead of 100 posts of 50.

The point is I don't think anyone really believes the Randle messiah theory. It would be a stupid bet to take.

Then apparently you missed the point.

I don't think anybody thinks he is a "messiah". What I have said during the offseason is that if he doesn't screw up off the field anymore and get benched or released that he has the skill to do a more than adequate job. He will definitely not average 6.7 yds per carry over a whole season if he is the primary ball carrier. I do think he can easily average 5.0 yds per carry or slightly more behind this OL. He showed a penchant last yr for breaking off big runs (and as I showed in one of the posts even if you eliminate his longest run of the season vs Washington in the final game his yds per carry was still well over 5.0).

Will he be Adrian Peterson or Barry Sanders? Nope. Will he be good enough for the offense to score a lot of points, yep.
