So apparently the Bucs Bruce Carter has already been benched in favor of 4th rd pick Kwon Alexander

That didn't take long.

@PriscoCBS: When I was in Tampa in May, I was told Kwon Alexander would end up being the NO. 1 middle LB. Now looks to be true.

LOL Jim Tomsula is already near the top of the list.

Odds on first coach to be fired

Jay Gruden, Washington +251
Mike Pettine, Cleveland +552
Ken Whisenhunt, Tenn. +753
Jim Tomsula, San Fran +1,209
Joe Philbin, Miami +1,514
Sean Payton, New Orleans +1,514
Gus Bradley, Jacksonville +1,819
Chip Kelly, Philadelphia +1,850
Lovie Smith, Tampa Bay +2,023
Jeff Fisher, St. Louis +2,536

Literally every one on there is a better pure coach than Garrett.

Prisco might want to check with his "people" there then. He isn't starting at MLB

And literally every fruit and vegetable in the Kroger produce dept has more brains than you

If Linehan and Marinelli weren't propping Garrett like A Weekend at Bernie's, he'd be at the top of that list.

Had he coached at any non Jerry owned team, he would've already been fired.

That's reality, dave. And you know it. But wave your Pom poms you homer cheerleader.

Then apparently you missed the point.

I don't think anybody thinks he is a "messiah". What I have said during the offseason is that if he doesn't screw up off the field anymore and get benched or released that he has the skill to do a more than adequate job. He will definitely not average 6.7 yds per carry over a whole season if he is the primary ball carrier. I do think he can easily average 5.0 yds per carry or slightly more behind this OL. He showed a penchant last yr for breaking off big runs (and as I showed in one of the posts even if you eliminate his longest run of the season vs Washington in the final game his yds per carry was still well over 5.0).

Will he be Adrian Peterson or Barry Sanders? Nope. Will he be good enough for the offense to score a lot of points, yep.

Then I think you missed the point, you used the 6.7 as logic for why Garrett and Jerry etc are justified in their actions. You wisely clipped off the 65 yard Redskin scamper and (because the sample size is so small) the 5.6 ypc is what you are using as evidence for how Randle is a replacement for Murray's role in the offense. You really were not talking about RBBC, you were talking about Randle.

So here's the point, back up your argument and take the bet. We can chop the 6.7 down. How about 5.6 ypc in the first game?

On Bruce Carter, yeah, he isn't a great player. But in watching that Green Bay playoff game, I forgot how active and how good he was. Seemed like he was consistently around the ball more than almost anyone on defense. I hope we don't miss his pure athletic ability in our LB corps this year.

@BabeLaufenberg: Was at practice & reviewed all available video. Rams exhibited the dirtiest form of football in my 33 years playing/watching camp practice

Thats not what I said nor was that my rationale.

Carter can be a good player when he wants to be, he showed that last yr and in one of the years where he was ILB in the 3-4

That said, the question with him is "does he want to be?"

His issues are definitely not physical.

I wanted him in the 2nd (like a number of people here did). But we took Escobar. :(

@LRiddickESPN: Bennie Logan is better than I ever imagined he would be coming out of LSU. He will have a Pro Bowl caliber season. #EaglesRavensPractice

Yep, he looks good. He and Fletcher Cox are going to be a handful for a while. That whole Eagles defense looks pretty strong.

It'll be fun watching our OL against their DL the next few years.

I know we got good players and have drafted well lately, but we could've also had Logan and Cox instead of Claiborne and Escobar.

Our scouts liked both guys, but they also liked Claiborne and had him rated as the #1 def player in the draft that yr (like a lot of teams did)

Hindsight is always 20/20 and always makes for perfect drafting.

Saw earlier today they said Zack Martin might miss a week, now I see an update saying he's scheduled for MRI too
