That Chuck Liddell Miller Lite commercial is pretty lame. I think he's been ht in the head too many times.

Special teams is horrific. Jesus Christ.

If there's a team worse than us at kick returning, id be surprised. When's the last time we had a kick returner that was worth a shit? Dantzler?

Oh, I just go to the part where Escobar didn't know what the fuck he was doing on 4th and 1 and got a stern talking to from Romo.

Way to go Gavin. Perhaps you'll best Martellus and learn the playbook in your second year.

Giants wait for word on Stevie Brown’s knee injury

Posted by Josh Alper on August 25, 2013, 8:52 AM EDT

The Giants went into Saturday night’s game with one of their starting safeties on the sideline with an injury and the night ended with the other one injured as well.

While the expectation is that Antrel Rolle will be fine for the season opener, there’s no such confidence about Stevie Brown yet. Brown went down while trying to make a cut during an interception return in the first half in the kind of non-contact injury that often leads to extended absences from the injury. The Giants called it a sprain on Saturday night, but Brown’s expected to have an MRI to fully assess the damage.

“I feel bad for Stevie Brown,” coach Tom Coughlin said, via Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star-Ledger. “He’s been a tremendous addition to our team. The guy had another interception and has that happen.”

The Giants also played without cornerback Corey Webster, who has had groin and knee issues this summer, on Saturday and lost another cornerback to injury as well. Jayron Hosley sprained his ankle, knocking him out of the game and leaving the Giants thin in the secondary at the moment. How thin will depend on the prognosis for Brown and Hosley, something we’ll likely find out in the next day or two.

Have to like how Garrett benched Murray after his fumble, even though he recovered it. Thing is, would Garrett bench him in a real game?

Escobar can't block. Looks scared to try at times.

Agree. Yeah, he can get bigger and stronger, and improve his technique. But you have to have that mix-it-up mentality to block. Witten may not have been a great blocker when he came in the league, but he never lacked that.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but truth of the matter, Free didn't look bad at all at a Guard.

I wasn't impressed. There were a number of plays where he basically ended up dry-humping the turf because he threw himself at the legs of a defender, doing nothing at all. He did okay and good at times but nothing awesome. Of course, this is compared to his RT play last year which sucked.

The plays that were bad were his run blocking.....or really any time he had to move. In the first quarter alone there were two plays where he went turf fucking and two plays where he fired off the line to get to the second level before realizing he should have been blocking someone along the way, at which point he did a 180 and went after someone.

His pass blocking looked to the better part of his performance.
