all of these 2 year deals to street free agent d linemen has me a little paranoid. I'm getting the feeling Jerry knows he won't be able to do anything this offseason (salary cap) and we are going to have the same d line plus maybe a draft pick next year.

I'm wondering if Hatcher will be retained. he is having an excellent season and might not be a guy that we have to break the bank to keep due to his age. Marinelli loves him too apparently.

We'll get Crawford back and that should at the very least help the depth, and if he's healthy he should challenge for the starting LDE spot. I also wonder what might happen with Spencer. Because of his situation he might not get much (if any) attention on the free agent market. Its possible we might could keep him on the cheap for 1yr.

I think Crawford should move inside or we'll continue on counting on the pass-rush to come up the middle.

And no way Hatcher comes cheaply. He's made it clear he's out for the money.

Rememeber, we are $31 million over the 2014 cap. We have to scrape that $31M off before we can add anyone, including draft picks.

But Jerry is doing a good job.

They had yet to realize that Leon Lett touched the ball :lol Nice to see Jerry's original face.

How is that Jerry-esque?

3-tech is a pretty critical piece in this defense. Counting on an injured guy who hasn't really proven anything at the NFL level seems like something Jerry would do. Then act all surprised when it didn't turn out well.

Counting on an average 3-4 DE inside worked out for Hatcher.

And besides, I think that's the only position Crawford fits on a 4 man line.

Looks like we actually signed Martez Wilson. Now we will have access to all of the Raiders secrets!! Go Zoners...

Everett Dawkins was released. Looks like that 3rd round grade we had on him was wrong.

which one was Everett Dawkins? Don't we have an Everett Brown? I can't keep track.

Hatcher wasn't even the planned 3 tech. He'd also put up a couple of years of decent sack numbers for a 3-4 end

Crawford hasn't started anywhere in the NFL yet

He may be an option there. Just saying that planning on him to work out there is something Jerry would do

I mentioned before the game Sunday that ESPN Radio's guys said twice that Garrett was actually calling the plays and not just getting them from Callahan. I don't know where they got the info from but here's more on it:

Louis Riddick (ESPN Insiders) is the former head of pro personnel for the redskins and eagles. Here are his thoughts on twitter while watching the Giants-Cowboys game live:

"About time they start moving Dez around and scheming him open!!"
"I bet Jason is making these calls...."
"Great route design on the pass to Miles. Attacked all three levels of the defense within inside breaking routes. Jason Garrett!"
"No doubt in my mind who his calling these plays..."

Doesn't Garrett get the calls precisely so that he can change the calls when he wishes?

Too bad the offense, despite doing some new stuff, still only out up 17 points and needed the decimated defense to get enough points for the win
