No, but there's things they could do different to change that or at least help. Like having the idiot QB audible out of a run play when he sees 8 or 9 guys up in the box. Like not running every short yardage play from a formation with no WR's and everyone tight, allowing defense to put all 11 of their guys in he box and cave in our OL. Or running some draw plays on 2nd downs. Or running run plays that look like they were well conceived instead some of this helter skelter garbage we see.

I think it's universally known how to give Romo a defensive look that will force a pass audible. They know how to bait him. What is funny is why would a defense put 8-9 players to stop a nonexistent run game? Other than the Rams game 2 years ago, what are teams stacking the box to stop?
They aren't stacking to stop anything. They want Romo to drop back and either force an error or overload and get a sack. They seem to know the Garrett system theory that if the box is stacked, the pass audible opens those route trees deep. I still remember Dom Capers sending Clay Matthews on that game where Wade was fired and remarking that Dallas just kept trying to execute the same play because of the position of the defense and Dom just kept successfully sending Clay on the same blitz.

Mike McCoy of the Chargers said on ESPN Radio that Rivers was not allowed to alter the Norv Turner scheme and kept having to pass or run the play the ball despite coverage. He said that Rivers was freed up in his offense by letting him check down and use short passes. He said Norv was notoriously stubborn with his playcalling which Jason learned as "coaching".

Norvs offense were most effective with Emmitt Smiff, Stephen Davis, and LaDainian Tomlinson. But after a while if the running stops, the pass plays repeat rather reliably.

Good post, that part about the defense forcing us into predictable plays by how many people they put in the box is dead on. Interesting about the McCoy/Norv stuff, too.

Only white people are racist. Fact.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic, but it is true. What institutions do Black people own and operate that is able to disenfranchise white people? Inbreds like Jon88 is under the foolish notion that name calling is racism, when at best it's bigotry that is not institutionalized.

I don't know to be flattered or insulted in him thinking that calling me a n***** is supposed to hurt me? He's not the first person to ever call me that and will not be the last.

The sad thing is, that he thinks it gives him some sort of power.

Even sadder is that he doesn't really know the origin of that term, and how it's actually more an indictment against poor white inbred trash like himself.

Bottomline... I've been called worse names from far better people.

Call me crazy or a pre-operative transsexual, but I think we can win this thing.

Everything tells me the Saints win this game handily. Probably means our band of underachievers plays over their heads.
