He said "that kind of thing" is the mark of being an average team. Then, in the very next sentence, he said the team lacks consistency and sharp execution. His point is that dropping passes is an example of this team's lack of execution and consistency. He pointed out one very specific example of the more general symptom of mediocrity... lack of execution.

He's not saying dropping passes means you have an average team. All teams drop passes, and all teams are not average.

It's literally like you only read the first sentence of the two paragraphs. If ZC is guilty of anything, it's assuming that you could spare the brain cells to read three whole paragraphs. Most people realize that's too much to ask of you.

No, but there's things they could do different to change that or at least help. Like having the idiot QB audible out of a run play when he sees 8 or 9 guys up in the box. Like not running every short yardage play from a formation with no WR's and everyone tight, allowing defense to put all 11 of their guys in he box and cave in our OL. Or running some draw plays on 2nd downs. Or running run plays that look like they were well conceived instead some of this helter skelter garbage we see.
