Undrafted scrubs and guys we picked up in front of a Home Depot vs Megatron, Bush, and Stafford. Talent will always rise to the top. Poor job of building a roster and a Head Coach in over his head and in reality we are lucky to be a .500 team.

I'm not buying that shit. A GOOD HC--- a fucking HC with common sense! would have won CONVINCINGLY with these undrafted scrubs. We almost won.

You don't even have to do that. Kneel it. Kill 40 seconds. Take a delay of game penalty. Punt the ball to them, try to pin em inside the 20 and give them 15 seconds with no timeouts to try to get in FG range. Even if they do make a long FG, you go to OT.

Yeah. I thought they had more timeouts than that one.

I'm surprised he didn't fucking ice Bailey on the FG.

Works both ways. Allows Garrett defenders to say Garrett could win with more talent.

The truth is both are major problems and can be linked to one man. The one who plays GM and the one who tells us that Garrett is the next Tom Landry.

we lost because Scandy couldn't cover a white stiff named Kris Durham in crunch time

If you stop and THINK for a moment, you'd realize it shouldn't have had to come down to Scandrick stopping that guy. The stop should have been when the Cowboys had the ball.

I disagree. I don't think it was unreasonable for Garrett to assume he could count on the defense to prevent the Lions from going 80 yards for a TD, not a FG. The Scandy play was the backbreaker.

Problem with that is: you have Romo, Dez, Witten, Williams, etc. How more talent do you need? Too many coaches have done FAR MORE with LESS. We've been in Garrett's system for 6 fucking years, and we've seen diminishing returns each year.

Weren't you the one that pointed out as to how it seemed the opposing defense knows the playcalls of the offense? The way the CBs can leave our WRs and shoot straight into the backfield and stop the RB.

The holding by Tyron killed us. You don't fucking hold on that play for any reason you moron.

Poor coaching, poor clock management

Of course. Just like Garrett didn't think it was unreasonable to ice his own kickers last year. Whatever man. The game was lost by the offense and Garrett.

you don't run a play. you kneel on the ball. Too many negatives things can happen, like I don't know, a holding call that pretty much is the same as an incomplete pass. Garrett has pulled this shit too many times.

it was a team effort

fist half: great defense; shitty offense
second half: shitty defense; great offense

Who's at fault for letting Calvin Johnson get 14 rec for 329 yards?

Call me crazy, because I know 329 yards and all... but I didn't think the coverage on him was all that bad. It's not like he was running wide open every time he caught the ball. There were some jump balls that we had no shot of defending. That out to him on 3rd down when Carr on him was just a perfect play. The big one in the first half Carr made a terrible attempt to try to knock the ball out instead of making the tackle, and it let him get 70 more yards. Should have just secured the tackle. But the coverage wasn't bad.

It doesn't matter how much talent at the top of the roster you have when you have street guys on the field in crucial moments. You are only as strong as your weakest link. Our weak links are pathetic.
