Hmmmmmm
Anyone else like Elam a little less once they found out he was Abe's brother?
Personally I thought Elam looked pretty good at the combine. He's short, but he's got the bulk and I thought he moved pretty well. Can't say I ever watched him at Florida, though.
By the way, the reason I dont like Kiper (aside from the obvious, he is full of himself) is that he had a tendency to rate players one way on the front end, then slam teams after the draft for picking them. Carver is one such example. He absolutely loved the guy right up until the point where we picked him (and I do agree with some of his argument against it, saying we shouldnt have moved up to get him). Still, when you heard his opinion after taking him and read his views after the fact, you'd have thought we drafted some guy he had rated as a fringe player instead of one he absolutely loved. And he did that repeatedly for years, not just to us, but certain other teams as well. He clearly played favorites in terms of how he "graded" teams, and ignored his own "expert" opinion of the players themselves.
I have Joel Buschbaum's Draft Guides as well, and if I find it I will post what he wrote about Carver as well. Although I'm reasonably sure it was similar to Kiper's opinion.
I still remember as to how Kiper hyped up Justin Beriault big time.
@nfldraftupdate #FSU OT Menelik Watson could wind up causing plenty of post-day one arguments if chosen. Some Tyron Smith similarities, but a bit more raw.
Forget it. No more old rookies. He'll be 25 in December. Since most rookies are 22/23, that's at least two years of lost service to us. Oh, and he's still learning the game.

Like our first rounders ever get a 2nd contract with us anyways
He plays OL, I dont think its as big a deal for that position as some others because they tend to have reall long careers anyway if they can play.
The problem I have with 25 yo rookies is that they were playing like men vs boys because they were, so I don't feel their production/tape should be graded equally.
