Yeah.. Broaddus is a fucking ****** when it comes to player analysis.

I'm kind of glad we didn't take Sharriff Floyd, based solely on how much Broaddus was salvitating over him.

‏@CBS11BillJones 1m If Baylor WR Terrance Williams is still available at 47, he is definitely in play for Cowboys...personally, I really like DT Bennie Logan

It's proving true again.

He doesn't know anything.

Bill jones just told me won't take warford. Said we will take Levon bell at 74 if he is there.

After sleeping on it I'm glad we went OL, I just think we reached. After the trade down where we didn't get enough value to go that far, and knowing we also needed DT help, last night I was pissed.

But if we had a higher than 47 grade on Frederick, then that makes it somewhat better. We gotta hit on today's picks though.

There were a few things about Frederick I noticed, wouldn't he of been better off with a team with a man-blocking scheme instead of a zone-blocking scheme? Frederick also struggles in pass protection but is a very good run blocker.

In that case Schwenke would've been the best fit for us although Frederick was projected to go before him.

Dallas don't run azone scheme. They just use some zone concepts at times.

That first round was really weird.

I don't know why the hell I waste time doing and reading mock drafts. Complete waste of time.

I never wouldve seen both guards going top 10. Never would've expected some of the trades.

You tell me Kyle Long is a first rounder a week ago and I'd scoff at it.

Just weird, overall.

After reading some of the comments... it's sort of settling in. I'm glad we went OL.

Somebody pointed out how we may now really go after Brandon Moore and either Winston/Clabo. If that's the case... then ok. I'm sold. On paper that doesn't look like such a bad OL.

I guess you have to look at it like this, would you rather have:

LT --- Smith
LG --- Livings
C --- Costa
RG --- Bernadeau
RT --- Free

OR... would you rather have:

LT --- Smith
LG --- Moore
C --- Fredericks
RG --- Livings
RT --- Winston/Clabo

I'll take the latter.

I mean, there isn't any question that the most glaring hole on this team was on the OL. If the kid can come in, start, and make a difference, then it's definitely worth it.

It's just unsettling when you factor in how it all unfolded. Doesn't help that we reached to get him too.

Yeah we reached. But if he turns out to be a very good player for us... it won't matter. However, I can't say as to how I like this piecemeal attempt to fix the OL. I was hoping we would come out of this draft with two OL. We'll see.

At the rate OL were going last night, there's definitely no telling if Freddy would have made it to 47...absolutely no chance he would have lasted until rd 3...still a reach, for sure.

Think I prefer Frederick + 3rd over Reid at 18...sounds like those were the two options

Yeah, that's why I'm not real upset about this trade back. There really wasn't anyone at 18 I wanted once Star, Richardson, Warmack, Cooper, etc were all gone.

I get that we might've been able to grab a better pick in the trade, but not if they werent' offering it... so.... I like it.

I know a lot of people are hating what we've done so far, but I'm optomistic.

And I'm giddy we went OL in the first. I'm telling you... Frederick will be a very good center for us.

Meh, it's easy to say he was a good pick simply because Costa (or one of our guards) is so bad and he'll be better than that. But that isn't saying much when you're talking about a first round pick. It's also not saying he was the best football player on the board.

We basically drafted for need, and that will get you in trouble almost every time.

We can still draft a starting safety or DT with these 3 picks tonight. Or even a WR or TE.

A lot of good prospects left.

Drafting for need is not an issue. Every team does it.

Reaching for need is the problem.

If he was really the 22nd best player on our board, then we certainly didn't do that.
