It was fake reverse screen. Took too long to develop. Not the same thing.

Who cares what it was...have they shown you any evidence of being able to execute any plays correctly?

Everyone who bemoaned the decisions on the OL all offseason (and I think you were one) were right. This shit is killing us. The guys they have now cant play. Back to back games now where they were just bitchslapped all over up front on the OL.

The argument is that since the OL can't block, Garret needs to change it up and call quicker plays. Your argument is we tried a screen with the first play. That first play was slow developing by design and required the linemen to hold their blocks longer.

Garrett needs to get a better feel for how his team is performing and stop relying on Romo to pull rabbits out of his ass.

Looks like next year's free agency is gonna have to include a massive overhaul on the OL. If they make the right moves (this time) then hopefully they can dedicate the draft to other areas that need help.

They couldnt pass protect well enough for short passes either most of the game.

And the run blocking was the worst I have ever seen. We have a stud RB and probably had at least half his carries end up with losses because he was mobbed in the backfield.

There's only so much playcalling can cover up.

Yea I think you go that route and try and draft the pass rusher. Going out and signing a pass rusher costs a fortune

Maybe they could start by practicing, because from the play the last two games it doesnt appear they've done any.

I don't know how good this OL can be, but they haven't played or practiced together long enough to play like a coordinated unit. The OL is really holding this offense back.

Idk, It just seems like the smart thing to do would be to get Murray the ball on the screen, treat it like a kind of a running game.

Its obvious he's a beast when he has room to run. He has no chance in the traditional running sets.

Cowboys Postgame Tweets - 09/23/12...Media, Players, Jerry comments

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon
Jerry Jones sums up the Cowboys' day vs. Tampa Bay: "We made enough mistakes to lose, but the defense bailed us out."

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins
Jerry Jones on Witten: "I think Witten has probably got the fewest drops of about anybody we've had around here." Said he's not concerned

Nathaniel Newton Jr ‏@61NateNewton
DeMarco Murray has to Touch the ball 25-30x a game. I don't care how he gets it but he must get it. He is the stabilizing force.

Must find him a capable back up. He had 18 carries for only 38 yds. 3 Rec for 21 yds but he kept the defense honest.

It takes a lot of pressure off Tony. Nice to see Miles Austin have a good day!

Everybody is crying Dez but if Miles can come to life things will flow much easier!

I don't believe Whitten should have played the Giants game & YOU CAN TAKE IT FOR WHAT'S IT WORTH!!

I believe he will bounce back but it will take time. Lost Barry Church for the yr with Achilles injury.

Defense was already thin with Sensabaugh out now it will be a mad scramble.

Dware played solid. Sean Lee played solid. Saw a little pressure by the D. I hate to say it How good is TB?

Clarence Hill ‏@clarencehilljr
Barry church is out with torn achilles..brandon carr may play safety a little more on passing downs with jenkins and mo at cb

this is why the cowboys did the smart thing and not get emotional over jenkins in offseason..injuries happen..use your guys..they need him

Jason Witten cleared out his locker and didn't talk to the media after the game..after his second straight bad game

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez
Sean Lee: 'Mike Jenkins came in and, I thought, did an unbelievable job.'

McCray on Church: 'That’s rough. ... I really can’t even speak on that one right now. I’m kind of in shock right now, just like he is.'

Rick Stroud ‏@NFLSTROUD
Bucs coach Greg Schiano: "We need to stop being known for the kneel down play. We to start being known for winning games.''

Dan Graziano ‏@espn_nfceast
Well, not really. It's September. RT @twhit88: @espn_nfceast any safeties in FA Dallas can look at?

Jean-Jacques Taylor ‏@JJT_ESPNDallas
Cowboys had a penalty, negative play or turnover on 11 of 13 drives. Hard to win that way, but they did.

Cowboys offense had 21 negative plays: 4 sacks, 7 penalties and 10 negative plays

Doug Free led the way with 4 penalties

On a side note, I thought Jesse Holley was funny when talking about Romo...

Jesse Holley ‏@Mr4thAndLong
Yooo No Human Being Can Continue To Take The Knock Out Hits That Romo Is Taking Today and Survive. Ppl Better stop questioning his toughness

And you talk about Leadership...... We Saw Jay Cutler Push A O-linemen For Not Blocking....Romo Is Getting HAMMERED, & He Just Keeps Playin!

Yall Can Kiss My Tail, If U Think Romo Isnt A Leader....Yall Take 1 Of These Hits He's Taking & Just Get Up & Keep Playing! #iSaluteTonyRomo

the free agency crop looks very thin and it's not like Jerry to admit failure so soon. Bernadeau, Living, and Parnell all got new contracts this year. Free is only in his 2nd year of the 5 year extension so the cap hit may be too big. Cook was also recently extended for another year. Add Smith and that's 6 o linemen under contract. Arkin too but he can be let go. Kowalski and Costa are also controlled contracts (restricted) as well. You would think it's a no brainer to let Costa go but the team seems hooked on him.

Unless of course we break the bank for Jake Long.

lol

Of course he's not. Nothing fazes the man, as long as the dollars keeps rolling in.

Bernandeau and Livings both have deals that if terminated, wouldnt really cripple (or even hurt) us. Parnell is a low rent deal for an extra year or two. They added the yr to Cook's deal for cap purposes, I think its highly unlikely he'll be back.

Parnell should be getting a crash course in RT reps right now, because he should be replacing Doug Free.
