Terrible work by Romo running that play. they have ten guys between the tackles and you aren't going to switch out of the FB dive?

gimme a break Romo.

The timing on several of the Cowboys running plays seemed off ... hand-offs weren't so smooth.

Some fans want a shorter preseason and longer regular season. I'll tell ya, I think I'd be happier with a longer preseason ... so teams would be crisp and ready to go for the first week of the regular season (instead of looking so rough).

The level of play during Week 1 of the regular season usually isn't very good.

Having said all of that, very nice to have a divisional road win last night.

Garrett constantly preaches the importance of moving on to the next play, whether the previous one was good or bad. Defensive end Jason Hatcher provided the best example with Dallas clinging to a 17-10 fourth quarter lead.

Hatcher was called for a personal foul on third down for hitting Eli Manning in the head as he pressured him, giving the Giants an automatic first down. Three plays later, Hatcher sacked Manning on another third down.

The Giants punted and Romo drove the Cowboys 82 yards for a touchdown and a 24-10 lead.

"You have to keep playing and put the last play behind you and go to the next play," Garrett said. "The best players I've been around and the best teams I've been around have been able to do that.

slow clap

our defense is so fast. There are lanes and then they just close because we are swarming the shit out of people.

shoutout to our scouting department.

Bennett didn't push off.

I didnt think he did either, but Church didnt interfere with Bennett either. I think Church assumed they were gonna have to call Bennett for something, because he didnt do anything.

I think someone else noted that had Parnell (think it was him) blocked the safety, he would have got the first down pretty easy.

I didnt like the call myself, would prefer they give it to Murray (or Tanner) or in that situation, run a play action pass and dump it out to the TE , FB or RB etc etc

Happy as anyone with the win but if you think the OL proved anyone wrong last night you're crazy. Romo's pocket awareness was on display last night because he was getting a ton of pressure especially inside. Murray's big run was all him. The Giants were in the backfield and he ran over Kiwi and evaded Tuck.

Still have a ways to go.

Have you watched a football game before in your life?

Both Ogletree TDs came off the pocket collapsing and Romo making something out nothing (as he's so frequently does). Murray had to find his own way at least a couple times and the line had multiple legit false starts.

Most "realists" don't wanna be Debbie downers after a win against our recent nemesis, but that surely doesn't mean the oline is fixed. It's actually a shame that they don't emphasize getting Romo a clutch line. It's almost like they expect him to be able to scramble out and work his magic so they take him for granted. Not cool.

Today is not the day to be bashing the oline, but if Romo wasnt ellusive as he was. We might be looking at 5 or 6 sacks today
