I guess I'd have to see it again, looking at it live I saw the contact but they made a bigger deal out of it on TV than what it appeared to be, and it WAS within the 5yds

That said, they missed all kinds of stuff the Giants did and it definitely helped them...that one long pass play down the field the LT (or TE that stayed in to block, couldnt tell) just absolutely raped whoever was rushing him from that side. Romo got belted in the helmet on that one scramble in the RZ. Bennett almost knocked Ware's helmet off with the hands to face jab he had a couple of times.

Witten may have held on that play at the end, but there's no way in hell they call that penalty in that situation on the Peckers, Cheatriots, Stealers etc etc...and on that Bernadeau hands to the face all before Austin's TD, the DL turned right around and within a second or so had his hand all up Bernadeau's mask too. And they butchered the spot on that one Ogletree pass prior to the 4th and 1 fail by Vickers. We probably should have challenged, but they might not have got a chance to see the reply in time to make the decision without calling a timeout.

They (our players) gotta clean up alot of stuff, but there was some stuff that was just hose jobs.

Dude I don't think these refs have some agenda. The head ref was teaching geometry and officiating random Idaho high school football games a couple months ago. They were asking for players autographs during the preseason.

The missed calls are because they have zero professional experience. People were worried that they'd absolutely suck (like in the preseason), but they actually did a pretty good job.

And no, you cannot latch onto a player's jersey and hold (twice in Scandrick's case) even within 5 yards.

It's contact within 5 yards. Defensive holding is still a penalty no matter where on the field it happens.

Should have been a penalty. Media is holding onto that.

This is the actual rule.

Within this five-yard zone, a defensive player may chuck an eligible player in front of him. A defensive player is allowed to maintain continuous and unbroken contact within the five-yard zone until a point when the receiver is even with the defender. The defensive player cannot use his hands or arms to push from behind, hang onto, or encircle an eligible receiver in a manner that restricts movement as the play develops

Cruz ran to the goal line towards the middle of the field, broke back to the inside, Scandrick had a handful of jersey pulling him back toward the inside until the ball passed Cruz.

Im glad he did, Cruz would have scored. The last thing I wanted to see tonight was see that faggy salsa dance.
