Cowboys beat the World Champions at their own house on opening night. Someone tell me why this team can’t win the Super Bowl?

Goes both ways though. Scandrick raped Cruz on a sure TD play.

Everyone thought the officiating would be horrendous. Wasn't perfect, but it was far from awful.

You're way too focused on in game management.

A lot of your blame is rightfully placed. However, you don't credit Garrett for Havingthis team completely prepared.

Was it perfect? Absolutely not..

We were in MUCH BETTER physical condition than them. He has to get some credit for KO being prepared.

The offense didnt get stopped ONE time In the 2H...how about that in game adjustment?

Garrett is doing his job Mon-Sat..and I've always preached that that was His biggest asset and that it's even more important than what he does on game days.

Big win for Red

Ok, so they would have gotten the ball at the goal line, would they have scored still? Even if they do, they are still down by 3 and would have still lost.

The best part has to do with Bennett.

I bet that big, dumb mfer was dancing and drinking champagne in front of his locker because of his good game.

He's your problem now, NYG. Enjoy.

He did a little dance after his TD. What a dumbass.

it was within 5 yds...what did he do outside of the rules exactly?

Looked like he got away with blatant defensive holding during the live telecast. Will have to watch the replay though.

I'm not sure why you think the refs were so bad though. They made mistakes, but it was much better than the preseason, and there certainly were not awful, game-changing calls against us. Our oline was sloppy at times, and were rightfully dinged for it.

Latched onto his jersey and didn't let go?

Thats a penalty all day long with the regular crew.

I guess I'd have to see it again, looking at it live I saw the contact but they made a bigger deal out of it on TV than what it appeared to be, and it WAS within the 5yds

That said, they missed all kinds of stuff the Giants did and it definitely helped them...that one long pass play down the field the LT (or TE that stayed in to block, couldnt tell) just absolutely raped whoever was rushing him from that side. Romo got belted in the helmet on that one scramble in the RZ. Bennett almost knocked Ware's helmet off with the hands to face jab he had a couple of times.

Witten may have held on that play at the end, but there's no way in hell they call that penalty in that situation on the Peckers, Cheatriots, Stealers etc etc...and on that Bernadeau hands to the face all before Austin's TD, the DL turned right around and within a second or so had his hand all up Bernadeau's mask too. And they butchered the spot on that one Ogletree pass prior to the 4th and 1 fail by Vickers. We probably should have challenged, but they might not have got a chance to see the reply in time to make the decision without calling a timeout.

They (our players) gotta clean up alot of stuff, but there was some stuff that was just hose jobs.

Refs were absolutely fine.

It was a hold for sure on Scandy.

Oh, that mfer Scandy is still awful.

.

I'm asking because I dont know, is it a penalty if its within 5 yds? And did he definitely "grab" the jersey? I know there was contact.

Obviously it's retarded to argue with people on a Cowboys message board about the head coach being shitty. We'll see if you're correct as the season unfolds.

I'm happy with a big win for now. People mentioned Garrett, so I focused on him, but his orange glow should not overshadow others like:

Witten
Ogletree
Lee
Romo
Austin
Ware
Carr
Claibourne

All of whom played fantastic tonight, along with many more. Rob Ryan has the D playing lethal right now.

If the answer is yes. He did his job. Period.

At least be objective. Your blinders might be just as bad
