2012 NFL Draft Chatter...

The Center and Safety thing puzzles me on two levels.

One, who is evaluating their play? Why/how do they justify it?


Two, when you keep players like Costa, who was awful, how do you preach accountability to anyone else. You tell Mike Jenkins he needs to step up, play better, and then you go out and invest free agent money and your 1st two picks in the draft on better Cornerbacks meanwhile Costa is out there endangering Romo's health and you let that stand?

Competition, accountability is what Jason talks about all of the time. I want to believe him, he sounds legit when he says it. Then we reward mediocrity ..franchising Spencer, extending Sensabaugh, not prioritizing a replacement for Costa and suddenly this organization seems as chaotic and dysfunctional as ever.

Well I was feeling pretty good about this draft...

kinda further proof of what some of us believe...that he really doesnt have much to do with anything..he signs the checks, nods his head for the camera in the draftroom, runs his mouth to TV and radio...but he aint making most of the decisions

of course he says it...he's a massive ego-maniac and wants to get credit for everything

but unless someone tells him about people, he has no freaking clue...he probably knew who Morris Claiborne was, but I doubt he knew anything about Tyrone Crawford until the scouts and coaches put the notes and film up on the guy..and the same thing could be said about other drafts and even NFL free agents we sign

I know, but its probably true IMO

If the team was a perennial 1-15 dreg I could see people pointing at Jones and saying he's the cause of everything. But there are alot of good players here and other than maybe a couple, I'm not really buying that Jones decided to get them. I dont think he knows enough to decide who's good or not.

Why is it too late to address center? Because we didn't go and get the absolute best center in the draft we failed? No other centers have been taken..

Never said it's not too late to get a Center. I said replacing Costa should have been a priority, whether that was free agency or draft.

Nagy is awful. He was getting blown off the ball at Guard. What's going to happen when he has to snap the ball. We can hope all we want but Nagy should not be starting in the NFL. Shouldn't have happened last year and shouldn't happen this year.

And this team has way too many damn holes to have them all fixed with 2 picks.. hell, even one draft isn't enough...your expectations aren't realistic..take BPA at positions of need and move on..so far we have done that

I've made that analogy many times. It's like Stockholm Syndrome, Battered Wife Syndrome, and a heaping dose of cognitive dissonance rolled into one. The last 16 years? Right down the memory hole.
