Detroit turned it over a bunch today too, and one of Carolina tds was a kickoff return for a score.
The Lions are nowhere as good as their record. They came out the gate fast.

I don't give Garrett a pass when HIS players come out flat and play down to competition. He's responsible for the whole team and the way they play. The way they prepare. He's not just the OC anymore. He's the head coach.
I'm not going to dwell on all the shit that went wrong today or whos fault it is. We won.
Yay.

Ultimately thats all that matters, even if it was a rather fortunate win.
Defense shit all over itself late in the game and in OT, but at least their FG kicker blew it. Romo made more plays in the 2nd half than he did in the first and our FG rocks.
I thought Rob Ryan was the motivator guy?

I didnt think they looked flat. They played hard. The Redskins just were never given a reason to quit. The game totally changed early in the first half when Romo missed that gimmee TD to Robinson.
The defense was really bad today. No excuse to give up that many tds to a really awful offensive team, especially that last one. Letting the other team go the length of the field for a game tying TD is bad defense.
Of course the offense had a chance to put the game away in the 4th quarter. Defense was once again put in bad situations. I don’t think the offense was any better than the defense.

No it was not really bad. You are just bias for whatever reason. How many drives did the Skins offense start on the Cowboys side of the field? Defense spotted the Cowboys offense a turnover in their own territory. Yes, once again the Cowboys D couldn’t close the deal. Newman was terrible for whatever reason. I am sure the stats prove it wasn’t as bad as you suggest.

If AOA sucks that bad on returns and can't beat out Alan Ball as corner, he's useless.

Ah no they didn't dbair. They didn't play as lethargic as against the Eagles, but they didn't play as hard as they should have. JMO. I don't know if they are hungover from last week's blowout. They don't have time to rest though. The Dolphins are coming and appear ready to play.
He's a whole lot of hot hair, and that hot air probably smells like armpits/pizza/beer/hot wings, but what does that have to do with the team as a whole being the responsibilty of Garrett?
dbair didn't see a flat team, I did. Looked like a bunch of weekend warriors playing flag football until late in the second half. Nobody was on the same page.
That has to do with preparation, imo. Garrett's strongest point, allegedly.
Like I said in the otehr thread, no matter how good the CB's are they cant be expected to cover forever, especially on routes down the field. We have absolutely no pass rush at all on the vast majority of passing downs.
