We are not talking about the pass rushing, we are talking about run defense.

I understand that.. but you realize we send one or both of our OLB's as a rusher almost every play. So are you saying they are left go for the running back to deal with himself everytime? Or that a TE/FB is given the responsibility of blocking the OLB's every running play? It just doesn't make sense man.

Why are we just talking about run defense? Who blocks Ware during a pass?

OMFG, what the hell.

We are talking about run defense because you got all bent out of shape when I said Ware would take more punishment by playing against a OT on every down as a 4-3 DE and would have to hold up against the run something he does not have to do as much as a OLB.

Here is what i said in my intial post its not hard to understand.

Ware is not doubled teamed and chipped on running downs as a 3/4 OLB that will change in a 4/3 where he will have to take on a OT 80% of the time.

The amount of contact a 4-3 De gets is much higher than 3/4 OLB and once you factor in that teams will be running at him because he is undersized and saying it will take years away is not a massive exaggeration, your asking him to take more wear and tear on his body as a older player.

You act like the only change will be him putting his hand on the ground and that is very far from the truth, this not all about him rushing the passer.

Because the RB forgot to tell dumbass Penn, "hey, I got OLB responsibility."

Cowboys OLB DeMarcus Ware vs. Bucs tackle Donald Penn -- Ware is the NFL's best outside rusher. Penn has had success against some of the better rushers, but he tends to slack off sometimes against some lesser players. I think he shows up here and gives Ware a nice battle. The Cowboys might be wise to flop Ware to face right tackle Jeremy Trueblood, who struggled last week

Cowboys OLB DeMarcus Ware vs. Eagles LT Jason Peters: Peters returns to the starting lineup this week after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury.

He is a large man that will struggle at times to move. Peters can be a little slow-footed and will become overextended in his pass set. There are times where he will give up the corner and allow the rusher to get around him. The harder that the rusher gets to the shoulder, the harder it is for him to work in front of his man.

Ware is the type of player that gives Peters fits because he has a hard time adjusting to his rush. If Peters tries to overset and get wide, Ware can take him down inside. It is under this type of pressure that Peters will struggle because he will not be able to adjust quickly enough.

I believe that Ware will try to keep a wider rush path in this game, as will Anthony Spencer. Vick has made some of his bigger runs this season when the rush gets trapped inside, he reads the coverage and he takes the ball outside. Peters wants you to rush him down the middle so he can use his mass to stop the defender’s charge because he doesn’t have to move his feet.

Earlier this week, Ware was asked if it makes a difference rushing a left-handed quarterback. His response was, he thought it was good that Vick could see him coming on the rush. Against Peters this week, Vick might see Ware a bunch.

Hmm...against the Bucs the key match up wsa Ware vs Penn...this week it is Ware vs Peters. I did not see Ware vs RBs in either of the match up breakdowns. Clearly they must be wrong though since you are telling me that they are just blocked by RBs.

No, what I said was the RB only chips the OLB out of the play to go on to destroy Sensabaugh in the 2nd level.

OK...so the RB chips him...that is all they rely on to keep Ware off the QB? A chip from the RB...or does someone else pick him up...you know...like the OT.

Not to keep Ware off the QB but totally and completely blocking him out of the play so the OT can go on to destroy Bradie James in the 2nd level.

Oh, how very clever and original.

Shouldn't you be out buying your torches and pitchforks to go burn down Jason Garrett's house and murder him?

lol

Just glad we're all back posting at homebase so I have full emoticon and profanity access.
