That trade with Oakland that brought Butler to Dallas -- it isn't looking bad at the moment.

Did the Cowboys just find their future QB?

Based on what I saw when he was in college, Prescott wasn't unusually good at QB sneaks. He was o.k., but not noticeably better than the average SEC QB. It isn't like he ran it with the power of a fullback or something. Give him a running lane and it is a different story. He'll gobble up...

    2016 Pre-season Game 2: Miami Dolphins @ Dallas Cowboys

Tunsil's situation reminds me a little of Gregory's last year. I don't know all of the details, but it seemed like the Cowboys went above and beyond to help/support Gregory. Was there much else the Cowboys could have done? Should they have been tougher with Gregory by benching him or...

Traylor was primarily a blocking TE at Wisconsin. But he also lined up at fullback.

Did the Cowboys just find their future QB?

Within the past week, someone here predicted that the old "anointing oil" comment would make a reappearance, this time in reference to Dak. Who called it? Good job! edit: It was bb. Well done, bb.

    Ramsey debut for Jacksonville

Yeah, I'd have preferred that too. I won't complain about Zeke, though. I wanted a top RB prospect and they got one, so I'll count it as a win. Disappointed how the brain-trust used the 2nd round pick, though.

Christine Michael. Yeah, that whole thing was a little curious. Not a big deal, nor a major misstep, but clearly it didn't work out the way Dallas hoped. To me, if there was a small silver-lining to that deal, it was that at least the Cowboys got rid of Micheal when they determined he wasn't...

'75 was the year they used it regularly. Landry kept an RB next to Staubach in the shotgun, to maintain the rushing threat. Of course. Landry was remarkably good at this point in his career. He had a very well coached team.

Every part. Landry was at the top of his game. '75 was Landry's thought experiment. That offense was all about deception. Screens, reverse screens, middle screens, draws, fakes, roll outs. It was an intelligent offense. Cerebral. You'd have loved it. Preston Pearson catching a screen...

Did the Cowboys just find their future QB?

I'd rather try to catch lightening in a bottle with Prescott than to somehow rekindle/resuscitate the careers of guys like Cassel and Weeden. Prescott has a better upside, so start here.

The use of "Hostile" is out of line. You can say all the bad things you want about dbair and about any and all of the women in his family, but shit, don't call him Hostile. There are limits. Also, this offense will be quite good.

    Random Thoughts Week 2 Preseason

Romo's post-game comments about Prescott (on Dallascowboys.com) were interesting. Clearly Romo isn't threatened. He's supportive. During his interview, Romo said something to the effect that it would be a great thing for the franchise if the Cowboys had a quality QB to take over for him when...

ESPN: To Dak Prescott, it's not as easy as it looks

Yeah. The ironic thing is that the Cowboys tried like hell to limit themselves to the more pro-style offense QBs in the recent draft, but couldn't quite get one. The Cowboys actively tried, repeatedly, to pick other QBs instead. Dak wasn't their first, second, third, or fourth pick for a QB.

ESPN: To Dak Prescott, it's not as easy as it looks

Prescott is/was a spread option QB. A lot of fans, especially old school fans, dislike and/or distrust spread option QBs. I haven't noticed a lot of love for Cam Newton's game around here.
