DMN: Welcome to the Dak Prescott era, Cowboys; forget veteran quarterback

Are you crediting him with a fluke? High praise.

Peter King MMQB- Romo and Dak

He wasn't a bad deep-ball thrower at Mississippi State. He hit a few. It just wasn't a big part of their offense. He has plenty of arm strength. He's demonstrated that this preseason.

DMN: Welcome to the Dak Prescott era, Cowboys; forget veteran quarterback

2003 wasn't a bad year. Even if their schedule wasn't so difficult, the Cowboys got into the playoffs after 3 consecutive 5-11 seasons. Their talent-level wasn't very good, but Parcells somehow got them into the playoffs. I think Parcells did a really good job in 2003, considering what he had...

    Possible culture change?

This offense is very talented. Unusually so. If ever there was a situation in which a rookie QB had a chance of success, this would be it. Things could go wrong in several different ways. For some reason, my biggest concern is that Prescott will get hurt running the ball. I wonder if the...

    Romo Broken Back Bone

Romo's career was squandered. Not just by Garrett, though. Gotta give the future Hall of Famer Jerry plenty of credit too.

Day After Thoughts- preseason game three

That's an interesting take on Elliott vs. Murray. I'm thinking that Alfred Morris maybe = 2014 Murray. To me, Elliott is clearly superior to 2014 Murray in terms of raw talent. No way to rate durability at this point, though.

2016 Preseason Game #3: Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks

Zeke looked really good. Impressive. The real deal. You know, at some point this running game is going to get dialed in. With familiarity/reps, the OL and Zeke will play together better. The coaches will find plays that are especially well suited to Zeke. And so on. There will be a...

2016 Preseason Game #3: Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks

Romo has taken a lot of physical abuse over his career ... and it has taken its toll. Not insulting the man, but questioning the continued viability of his body. Is he now too vulnerable to injury to be a viable starting QB? Romo is reminding me of a frail elderly family member. As...

Don't stand next to Heath. Bad things happen around him.

Romo went down like an old man, holding his back like an old man. His body may be done.

On the long pass to TW. Did TW drop a catch he should have made, or was it a bad pass? (My video could be better)

    Goose: Start Morris over Zeke

This isn't complicated. Do what you need to do to get Zeke up to speed and don't wear him down too early. You've got some depth at RB. Use it.

DMN: The Star, no matter how lavish, is no substitute for sweat equity

I haven't seen the Ohio State football facilities, but I doubt they are old and grungy. The Star is just the outlandish, ostentatious version of an SEC facility. I'm not sure that having an outrageous facility seems so outrageous to today's players.
