I haven't put a ton of thought into this. Just an initial reaction. The Raiders gave up a 3rf for Geno Smith, a starter. A starter who did pretty well.

Jerry gave up a 4th for Trey Lance, WTF! He got a 6th for Cooper. I know, I know, it was a salary cap thing, but still the Bills gave up a 3 for Cooper and Cooper is now older. He gave up a 4th for Mingo. Yeah, I know, we still have our fingers crossed on that one.

I can't deal with it sometimes!

The dream of Jeanty to the Cowboys is probably dead.

The Raiders are going to take him, and if by some miracle they don't, the Bears will.

Yes! I just logged in to write precisely that. I don't know if the Raiders will take him because he might be gone even before that.

Mock generators are increasingly taking him off the board before 12. The mock drafts that are used in the generators are increasingly taking into account recent trades, free agents signing, and so forth.

Where it used to be common that Jeanty fell to 12, it is now rarer. Even Tetairoa McMillan is often off the board. If both are gone, we're looking at maybe a Kelvin Banks Jr. and moving him to guard.

None of the choices if both of those guys are gone particularly thrill me. Maybe Will Johnson, because Diggs seems to have an injury bug, Bland will be expensive. Lewis will want to be paid.

I think I could live with Will Johnson at 12 because the secondary often gets riddled with injuries and CBs are very expensive.

Hope we are still euphoric over a couple of useless wins last year. Yippee, we beat the Bucs. Oh, I felt so good for 15 minutes.

We will still get a good prospect, but we are left to the football gods as to who falls. Might even drop out of 12 if all the choices are iffy.

With Myles Garrett getting 40 mils per yr, the Jones-tards should be stepping up efforts to at LEAST explore moving on from Parsons.

His trade value will never be higher. Crosby and Garrett are off the market now and even though the Bengals put Trey Hendrickson on the market his value is nowhere near what Parsons is because of age and perception.

If they could get two 1st rd picks and a couple other picks thrown in (or more) I'm all over moving him as long as it's not a bottom of the first rd type scenario.

Do it if it's a massive haul.

We keep our 1, and give us your 1 this year and your highest second next year and I'd be satisfied. Whoever takes a deal still has to pay him. So I cut them some slack. I want to MOVE the soon to be expensive commodity. I don't need a huge haul.

Not enough for me unless maybe it's Tennessee.

TN's 1st pick of the draft is worth 3000 pts, which equates to two top-10 draft picks. If they gave us their 1st pick plus maybe their 4th (which is the top pick of the 4th rd, currently we don't have a 4th) it would probably be worth it.

Then you parlay the 1st pick overall into a windfall from which ever team wants that flub Cam Ward. That package would easily return you their top pick, next year's 1st and many other picks in 2025 and 2026. The top of next years draft is currently stacked with legit QB talent, we'd be in position to finally address the most important position on the team with a high 1st rd pick.

With the 40 mils per yr you save on Parsons this yr, you can easily sign two or maybe even three of the top free agents in this years free agent class.

I get back my draft investment in Parsons and in fact double it, and get the higher second next year. I want to make him especially attractive. I understand where you're coming from going strictly by the grades.

I'm using my 1 next year to trade up and target a QB.

Its gonna be expensive, that's why I like the idea of having as much draft capital as possible next yr (including multiple #1s)

Right now there's probably 3 or 4 legit 1st rd pick QB's. And If Arch Manning has a massive season and decides to skip his Senior yr, he's potentially the #1 overall pick.

He's only a Sophomore? Redshirt freshman last season.

And might not be the demand for QB that most think it is. Teams needing the QB1 are getting them this year they're not waiting.

Nobody is excited about the QB draft this yr, almost everyone is calling it one of the worst crops ever.

Thats why the Rams worked it out with Stafford and why the Raiders just flipped a 3rd for Geno Smith. The Saints decided to keep Derek Carr without a pay cut. Its why even Daniel Jones is reportedly garnering free agent interest. Sam Darnold is going to get a huge deal. Teams will give A Rodge and Russell Wilson chances again.

Someone is taking Cam Ward in the first, Shaduer goes in the second? That's two teams not in the running for QB next year.

I'll have my pick at 12 plus the one you gave me for Paraons. This team has needs now.
