I'd throw Dak in the same trade and just do a Russell Wilson with him. Trade partner pays him veteran minimum while we pay him to play for them. We'll have him off the books in a couple of years. Anything to make Parsons irresistible.

But Dak has a no-trade clause, so he can be petulant if he wants to. Hence, it would need to be handled in a way that makes Dak want to leave.
But that's not going to happen. We need to surround Dak with players who can help him. Players who can break tackles, make a hard catch, etc. All QBs need that. Dak, maybe more than most "top QBs."
We already have a couple pieces. Fergie and Lamb can make the difficult catch. Lamb can definitely make people miss, but we need more.
Just read we lost Edoga. But we signed Javonte Williams. Never heard of him. I guess we don't need Jeanty now ;-).

It's for people who follow it closer than I do, but what is the point of making a contract in which the player is supposed to get 60 million when you know you can't pay that, only to put an automatic clause in it?
Why not just make the contract that way in the first place? What would be the strategy behind that?

Well, lookie there. I did write that I'd target Mafah as a compliment to Jeanty. But I think I am dreaming about Jeanty. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. As I wrote before, the mocks are now increasingly taking him off the board on me.
I also worry about a team trading up to get him.

I'm doing a mock now. Top 5 on the board. Jeanty went to the Bears. San Fran traded withthe Lions and the Lions took Shemar Stewart. Not enthused about any of these.
